Slightly off topic but another data point. Last night at the Russo and Steele auction in Monterey, a very nice Grigio Titanio with Bordeaux '07 430 F1 spider sold for $140k.

    Thanks!

Under 7,000 miles. As for the brakes, I don't recall specifically, but seem to recall thinking the rotors were really big, hence, likely ceramic.

FWIW, a woman seated next to me asked if it was a good price. I said I thought it was about right, but with the risks you take at auction (no PPI, for example), it wasn't a fantastic price, and that because there are so many other nice cars out there with low miles, why take the risk?

Strong CHF though isn't it - zero chance of them being sold abroad.

Er yes but as Switzerland has the highest Ferrari Ownership per capita in the world, they are usually not sold abroad, sadly its more popular to own a Toyota Hybrid here nowadays

Just noticed a few days later price in Manheim for this 2008 Black 7.3k miles has been dropped to $172k. It's a sweet looking machine that is becoming very reasonably priced quickly...

I've never tried buying a car off manheim prices, but I would assume that manheim prices are nearly non-negotiable, but I'm not sure. Perhaps it would go for $170k. Still too much $ for my first ferrari, and depreciating too fast still, but it is an interesting datapoint and will be curious to see where these things end up in 18 more months, especially if stocks get rocked some more.

You mean the asking price, actual money from manheim in an auction would be $145k today

Please direct me to where I can buy a Scuderia for $145,000. I am a buyer.

Also, if you can direct me to actual sales prices of Scuderias in the last 30 days that would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have been watching Scud prices and they are definitely coming down, but I have not seen one in the 150K range. This is is the best deal I have seen for a Scud in this good condition. There are a few a out there in the 175 to 185 range. I am hoping the price will drop to the 150 range in the next few months.

I might be off here but I was looking at scuds starting last year before I grabbed a 16m this summer, and to be honest 200k was the going rate for a nice low mile scud with strip etc. That seems to be the same price going today? Last year those scuds went for 220ish. I hardly see prices collapsing since they seem to be trading for the same price give or take 10k to 20k.

The scuds people are posting are higher mile cars in 08 minus strip carbon etc and are priced according, hardly what I would call collapsing. If I can get an 09 mint loaded with strip under 1000miles for 200k surely an 08 with 8000 miles minus strip and all the extra carbon at 169 seems priced correctly next to the 09. Again you get what you pay for.

The other interesting part anytime someone here mentions a F-car they are interested in buying regardless of age or mile etc everyone is so quick to write them off as something wrong or get PPI done but yet all the dreamers here looking to buy scuds for 150k never seem to question any of the high mile low priced scuds condition, if anything most seem to think they are mint.

Scud is like any other Fcar you will get what you pay for, I am willing to bet most Scuds get driven harder than the typical f430 or 360, f430 and 360 today still have 30k price spreads from high mile older year compared to low mile new year.

Maybe for all the sideline dreamers the current rate scuds are so called collapsing wait another 2 to 3 years and they will be going for FREE, free scuds for everyone.

In closing money is being printed every single day, enjoy life buy a car and be happy, all cars will always drop in price.

Your right the 8000 mile cars will turn into 15000 mile cars with stories and another year goes by, with that said your theory along with others here is Scuds will soon be priced cheaper than f430's? Personally and I certainly can be wrong while f430 coupes still are holding 125 to 150k and 360 CS holding 125k to 150k I feel those cars have to drop further before Scud goes lower. So when the Scuds hit the sub 150's then f430s will hit sub 100's and 360 sub 50's.

As per my last post you get what you pay for suggesting 9000 mile scuds at the lower price as the buy in price for Scuds is kind of wrong and a bit misleading. The scud is like any other ferrari it will go down. H

I think so many f430 fans/owners dream about the Scud so much that could be why many try to beat them down and dream about prices more than any other F car.

I still stand behind my claim I have seen at best a 20k cash difference in price in Scud cars since last year till today.
