He's made some poor investments, he's not the only one with close connections in Dubai.

Isn't "somewhat substantial" something of an oxymoron? :)

    Indeed.

I dunno how busy the factory is these days, but their simulator is still being used - Yours for a mere 3,500 Euros per day apparently. I believe they're also still running the Pirelli test car out of there.

While their operating budget was indeed "terrifying", I can't help thinking the pullout cost 'em somewhere around the national debt of some smaller nations.....

    Cheers,
    Ian

I see most of the time, both MS and Nico complains about the grip, and setup of the car. IS the car any good, aero wise? I mean, it has one of the best engines on the grid....

I've read a recent article where it says that the car's worst design flaw is the short wheel base: That apparently made it necessary to make the fuel tank taller and that lifts the center of gravity, which obviously hurts the balance of the car.
Also the short wheel base and lack of space caused them some overheating issues early in the season.
Finally the ride height is causing problems and they're somewhat limited in changing that based on their exhaust configuration.

Clearly there in nothing wrong with the engine, looking at Mclaren and even Force India is also showing them the way lately.

Personally I think, they need new designer and aerodynamists.
This is where things go wrong, and it was the same back in 1996, when Ferrari had John Barnard designing their cars from the UK and sending them the drawings back to Maranello.
    This can't work.
You need people like Adrian Newey, Nick Tombasis, and Rory Byrne, good old Rory, come back please!
