    Paul,

Sometimes some things we see make less sense than others. I personally never met a 100K car owner with such a disparate profile in ownerships. May be that is the norm in the UK?
Regardless we do love everyone who owns a lambo at the end.

Well I am certainly not normal!
I like Gandini designed cars and used to have a 308GT4 which I now regret selling.
I would like to add to my wee collection and also get a Alfa Montreal and Lancia Stratos
    Regards
    Paul

Back in May, Patrick and I got the whole story on the owner.
It is best we leave it be.

    Freaking awesome!

Although I'm surprised there's no blue tarp.

I am with Roy on 'it's just a car'; my Murci has been in the snow, so has my Viper ACR, Grand National, etc.

Well Mike, sometimes you got to cut your losses.
The car is in the driveway or on the lawn all year around. It is getting driven a bit I think but never saw it in town. Today was a nice steamy day for a remodeling of the dash cover..
as Peter said, we should let it go, it is beyond the car sitting.

I feel sad for the car, sitting in the snow like that. I don't really see it as being "just a car." That's the way I would talk about a Dodge Neon. The Countach is too rare. Everyone is different though.

And By the way, I love the picture of the Viper that says, "F%^k snow!" :D

So we are not going to get the rest of the story? After everyone calling this guy every name under the sun, threatening to steal his car in order to 'save it', and so on....we do not get to hear the story that may clear all this up? Why not?

That was last December, driving from Grand Rapids, MI to San Diego, CA. We hit a blizzard on the I-70 and turned back to Denver at the Loveland Pass; then took the southern route to Vegas. It was a terrifying experience to say the least, hence the writing.

Grand Rapids to San Diego?? That is one hell of a long drive, especially in a Viper!

    Nice pics; cool, literally. :D

I'm not a fan of the F word displayed to the world on the back of the Viper (not cool IMHO), but cool to see that snow doesn't keep you garaged-in.

After reading the Countach values thread, it appears the AE editions are not too desired :( so I guess we should be glad this clown got an AE and not a Periscopa :D

OK, since the thread won't die:
The guy's out of his mind (in both ways). His adoptive mother sold land to a neighboring town then she passed away. He was left with about 3 million. He then went car shopping. A dealer/broker took about 60k of his money for a Countach and diappeared. He then bought this car from a dealer (I think going out of business or that may have been the first guy) in Vegas.
I can bet more of his money has been lost but I'm not interested enough to ask.

He has the right idea....investing in cars (he named several on his "to get" list including a Lancia Stratos). regardless of the way he lives life, it would be beneficial to him to get these cars stored indoors....at that point this thread would never have started..........

The sad part of this is that he could have...

I guess the slow death of an AE still hurt but the good news is it has been the model most built.
The AE has its appeal and its crowd. I even saw a 10 years old prefer the style of the AE over the old model at a show. Each CT model has its weakness and strenght.

    What a wacky thread/story.

I know of a trust-fund kid that gets about $200k per year, and stands to inherit several million when he turns 30. His only debt is a few small credit card bills and he can't pay them on time. Also has a bunch of collections for stupid things like not paying his cable or doctor bills. He just can't be bothered. And he wants to buy a house now, but cannot -despite his income and liquid assets- because his credit is trashed.

and to think he could have bought a completely new car and fixed his house up with money to spare with that 100K and instead he bought a rough running countach thats now just a lawn ornament, if he wanted that he could have just gone to a junkers place somewhere and bought one for pennies on the dollar.
