    damn! looks nice.

i, for one, will celebrate the demise of the horrible Becker units. what a scandal that a car of this quality is burdened with such a hunk o' junk like the Becker stuffs...

i'll post pix after Kevin Wright finishes with my car. should be awesome...

    ciao

Just a question: Did the geneva 612 have the manettino? I ask because the 60th anniversary edition has it, and I'm curious if it will be fitted to all 612s or if it won't be on standard versions until the facelift.

No Manettino on either Geneva 612, neither of which were the "60th anniversary edition" with the glass roof. Sport mode, CST cancel, push to talk- push to listen, and some audio controls on the steering wheels. (audio controls are on the backside of the wheel)

For all of you Road & Track readers, there is a little blurb in the June '07 issue on the infotainment system (p. 32).

    From the article:
"The slickest feature is a proximity sensor that brings up the channel information graphics as your hand approaches the channel knob."

    Pretty sweet, eh?

I wish my 612 had the Bose system. The Becker unit is impossible to operate. It looks as if there might be a chance that bose sells these. I'm going to contact them.

Please let us know their reply as I want to remove the Becker in my 2005 612.
    Thank you.

I'm pretty sure you can't put the Bose system in as a retrofit. Plus, it's integrated with the car in other ways.

I'd find some other aftermarket system that you like. While I like the Bose, and I wouldn't replace it, I don't love it. I'm sure you can find something you'd prefer.

Putting a aftermaket deck in like the pioneer is not bad if its executed properly.... I dont believe you will find anything oem from bose availiable from them directly!

I can't stand the Bose system. Nav is practically useless. Also, for some reason ever since the xm sirius merger it will not remember all my presets. Sometimes it gets it right and sometimes not. Annoying. I might check out that Appradio.
