Couldn't sleep so I fired up the iPhone app about an hour in and almost ****!..... The Mercs 10 seconds quicker than anyone else! I relaunched the app and it said the same! Discovered it rained about 20mins in and only Mike and the young lad got dry times. Cheers, Ian
I honestly did the 'tap the screen' thing a few times to see if the electrons were confused! Cheers Ian
Just watched an interview in German with MS. He said he rates Spa as his favourite track because he has so many memories of special events there. He rates Massa and Rosberg as his toughest team mates.
You can't start a practice AND qualifying thread. Bloody n00bs. Nice to see Schumie and Webber at the top of the sheets
Anyone else notice the 'Team Loftus' on the side of the Lotus cars? Seems like Tonys having some fun!...... Cheers, Ian
Indeed. For anyone that doesn't know, QPR football teams home ground is Loftus Rd. +1 I'm starting to suspect their budget isn't what it was once was...... Cheers, Ian
I'm trying to focus on the racing but it's being drowned out by the business. Nice to see that they've put up a barrier to "disinsentiveize" chicane cutting.
Bwaa. Bwaa. I'd like to know; a - How much Nick is gonna walk away with. [The Speed boys claimed he's making ~$250K per race, so it may be a few million to go away.....] b - How much Bruno is paying. [Cover Nick's salary + $1/2MM per race?] Hopefully, it'll all be revealed in the London High Court in a few weeks..... Nick wants to drive for the team he's taking to court!? - I'm lovin' it "Desensitize" here, "desensitise" in Europe Cheers, Ian
Sometimes you laugh just not to cry I believe they said Pounds not Dollars. Either way it's a sad commentary. I meant that the barrier removes the incentive. Now there's a cost to excursions. I'm tyring to stay upbeat Ian but I may need stronger meds D
+1 I'm going to watch Senna sometime this W/E - Apparently there's some awesome arguments between he & JMB [The original lunatic running the asylum for any noobs ] - I suspect I'll be crying rather than laughing..... I hear you, but again it's always been that way - You bring the pot of gold, you get the drive - At least with most teams. Absolutely - Looks to me like they did a pretty good "Anti-Hami" build there Are you posting from the iPad under your bed btw? Cheers, Ian
Four floors under the bed. Next weekend is the Historic races at Lime Rock and the local cinema is running Senna. I expect to catch it then. There's always been a "Golden Rule" in F1 but it's never been as much of a primarily commercial exercise previously. In the word of the great Cindi "Money changes everything" D
I dunno dude - I think you've got your rose tinteds on again Even before Colin put Gold Leaf on his cars guys had been arriving at F1 factories with big bags of gold...... They tightened it up a little with the requirement for a "superlicense" but then Kimi came along and drive a bus thru that rule...... It's as commercial as it's ever been - No more or less IMOSHO Cheers, Iqan
Our perceptions differ. Maybe it's just as mercenary as ever but they've just dropped any pretense of a sporting ethos. D
does anyone have a good link to the photo of glowing brakes they showed today on Hamilton's car? Thanks
https://twitter.com/#!/OfficialMGP Excellent shots of MS latest helmet. Yellow livery. I hope we don;t get confused with Nico!
While I would of preferred a seat in the Ferrari, I don't mind this only a few mins till prac 3 starts http://www.vipbox.tv/watch/1282/1/f1---belgian-grand-prix-practice-3.html Also Happy Birthday Webber
