Thank you for posting this - Superlifts was one of the last two vendors I was considering. I had a few conversations with them and they always seemed on the level. Amazing what people will do for some money.

    Thanks,
    Erik

Are You related to the Chance family that owns the Ozark Raceway in Rogersville, MO and RAD Industries in Nixa, Mo and in business with Keith Goolsby?

Now you've had it Austin... LOL

It seems there are very, very few businesses left in the U.S. that are honest and have integrity. A really sad state of affairs. :(

The really sad part is Austin had a good chance to answer questions and both educate us and learn from the best customers he could possibly have had.

    But now.....

Austin, if you are somehow tied in with the owner of Superlifts (know him, or maybe your father employs/employed him), don't you think you should have shared that information?

Especially if you are suggesting that Bendpak uses an inferior grade of steel, or that they are breaking someone's patent.

FWIW, I have no dog in this hunt. But I have a few friends who've chosen Bendpak lifts and liked them. As far as I know, they are pretty open about the fact that they design their lifts here but outsource the manufacturing to China. So does Apple with the iPad and lots of other companies. It's not a problem if they make sure quality control is performed. And I imagine that they do. Do you have any information that suggests they do not?

What specific grade of steel do you say Bendpak uses compared to what Gemini uses?

So, you worked at Superlifts for an extremely brief time but yet you know Sam, who is in Fort Worth, Texas, well enough to say he's a great guy and you can personally vouch for him. So, during that extremely brief time you were able to analyze the steel used in the lifts of not only Gemini but also Bendpak.

I've been involved in a patent infringement suit(as an engineer for the company I worked for) and you don't join an organization for an extremely brief time and gain the knowledge you to seem to have, especially about a company you don't work for (Bendpak or Perfect Park). You had better crawl back on the turnip truck. You have no creds here.

Easy there killers, I prefaced this whole thing with I worked for him briefly insinuating I knew him. And yeah I used my real name even though I clearly saw my dads name on the corvette forum. No he doesn't work for my dad. I think he used to or may still update the website for the race track. Don't go crucifying me just yet... Stop... Think... If I were afraid of you knowing who I am would I use my real name???? Anyway I'm not trying to clear anyone's name but Gemini. CLEARLY don't take my word for it. Dig til your heat's content. But give Gemini a fair shake. I haven't worked there in well over a year and I didn't exactly stay in touch. I just know they weren't partners.

Now that I've done nothing but throw myself to the wolves by trying to offer some info. I think I'll back away. This junk is the last thing I need...
Again didn't try to hide anything including identity... So play nice. Keep all your anger for Superlifts!

    Ozark Raceway Park Administration.

    Keith Goolsby-Communciations Director
    Mitch Chance-Owner/Marketing Director
    Marty Chance-Owner
    Neal Chance-Owner
    John Heard-Webmaster

So, you say Keith Goolsby just kinda helped out with the website. Then why is he the Communications Director and then why do they need John Heard for a webmaster if Keith Goolsby is helping out with the website?

    To dig a little deeper.

Mitch Chance is co-owner of RAD Industries in Nixa, MO and is co-owner of a 55 Chevy Pro Mod race car along with Keith Goolsby, the other co-owner. Sounds like Keith Goolsby and the Chance family are more then acquaintances that only say 'hi' when they meet in Church every Sunday.

What was the relationship between the Chance family and Keith Goolsby when he owned Superior Lifts when it was located in Wichita, before moving it to Aurora, MO?

What was your job when you worked for Superlifts? Salesman? supervisor? fork truck driver? Engineer?

What is your relationship with Gemini Lifts as you seem to be heavily sticking up for them?

I don't own a Bendpak, but they happen to be located about 10 minutes away from my house, conveniently across the street from one of my favorite restaurants, Hozies. Their reputation is pretty solid judging from the comments of people who own their lifts, and if anyone ever has a problem getting a hold of them, just PM me and I'll walk across the street the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Haha LOL... you guys are awesome! The whole group of them are in cahoots.

Shame on Superlifts et al, for leveraging the "Made in the USA" vs "Chinese Import" debate when they are the dubious ones to say the least...

I hold Dustin Rose accountable as well -- he was Superlifts (only) salesman and main contact and was spouting the lies to everyone. He now says "I was just an employee doing my job and saying what I was told."

I am so lucky. I ordered a superlifts in February I believe it was and I got it installed in the beginning of July. They gave me so many excuses as to why the lift wasn't going to be delivered on time. Originally they told me March/April would be the delivery time but they had an excuse every time I spoke to them. The lift was finally delivered and installed but it came scratched up a good bit. It works very well but I would have never dealt with the company again had they not gone out of business. It seems like Backyard Buddy is a better company and their lifts are nearly identical looking.

I must have got one of the last lifts that they actually delivered.

    Thanks

Oh and speaking of GEMINI AUTO LIFTS of being given a fair shake
if anyone has dialed the number lately to Superlifts they will now be greeted on the other end by Gemini Auto lifts who say that Superlifts owed them money so they had their attorney claim the phone number and website taken in lieu of payment.
    Couple of issues with this:

Goolsby is in his supposed coma and no power of attorney is supposed to be set up to handle business.

Next: How is a phone number and website address of a fraudulent company a wise financial business venture.

And who has spoken with this "Dustin Rose:" I have and one really odd thing stands out.
    Keith

David Goolsby the owner is in a "coma"

Sarah Goolsby his wife takes care of sales and invoices (received my email from her)

But yet this Keith Goolsby is never found in any transactions. My theory is that Dustin Rose is actually Keith Goolsby.

IN ALL: DO NOT TRUST GEMINI auto lifts WHATSOEVER!! They are tied together in one way or another to Superlifts.

oh and Keith and Sarah Goolsby have facebook pages holding their little child, they better hope that when this is all over they aren't both sitting in a Federal Prison while their child is raised in a foster home!!
Karma is a BIT$# and the coma goes to show it!!
Sorry for such blatantness, but I just had 3200 HARD EARNED dollars stolen from me!!!!
I will not stop until someone serves time of my bank account is made whole!!

    I registered just to post this and will monitor this thread for a bit as Superlifts owes me $7500...I ordered a shared column double lift from them LAST YEAR! I was not in a particular rush as I was remodeling my garage and was running behind schedule myself...when the lift did not materialize by the fall I just decided to hold off and revisit in the spring. Well, after more excuses and growing impatience on my side I just contacted my credit card company today and was issued a $7500 provisional credit. If Superlifts does not contest within 45 days the credit is permanent. I hope everyone else used credit cards as well, the process was painless even though well beyond their documented timeline for issuing credits (60 days). If anyone wants to pursue this I suggest as follows (not legal advice);

    1) Call your credit card company, get your $$ back
    2) If #1 is not an option, you will notice calls to Superlifts number forward to Gemini...in my opinion Gemini is on some dangerous legal footing here. In small claims I think you have a good chance claiming Gemini is "Doing Business As" Superlifts by absorbing their website and phone number...

    good luck all!

    -jd
