I'll be in town for a conference. Was wondering whether there are any fun things happening that weekend by coincidence? Has been a few years since my last visit to Dallas. Any cool places (tourist attractions, restaurants, museums) that opened in recent years? <at the risk of sounding totally cheezy> Is the Southfork ranch still open for visits? Never made it there.
-The Texas Museum of Auto History in Fair Park. Currently they have a Miura and 275 GTB. -Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Fort Worth. One of two places where our nations money is printed. -Jerry's World in Arlington. -On the 22nd, there is Saturday at Starbucks for our local F-car owners.
Southfork is still open, but isn't worth the trip. Trust me. My last name is the same as those that made the place famous. Do you know what part of town you'll be in?
State Fair of Texas will be open the total month of October. It is fun. They have the car show, midway, all kinds of crazy food and more. It is in East Dallas at Fair Park/Cotton Bowl.
At the Hyatt near the Highway. It was shown in the opening shots of that show... What is it? What time? Thanks all for the great recommendations, I'll check them out. Digger Barnes

I'm a Dallas photographer, I would love to take pics of your car when you come by. I'll be in school by then, but we can probably set something up. If you're coming with your car that is.
Yeah, I know. Quite random. Ah that sucks. I was hoping to get some shots of it. Well either way, have fun when you come visit. Visit White Rock Lake and the Arboretum. Beautiful places.
Just for the record: The car in the Avatar is not my Ferrari, but just given to me for a few laps. I should probably change that soon as it gives the wrong impression.
Ahh, nice. I know a few Porsche owners. I got a ride in a 997 TT and my Civic never felt the same. What model are you planning on getting?
Cayman S The rationale can be best expressed with the eloquent words from Jeremy Clarkson: "POWER! MORE POWER!"
Very nice. I can hardly fit in those (6'5), but hey, looking good and going fast....looks good. Good luck with the purchase.
S@SB usually starts around 8am each time. Here's a link to last Saturday's event. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=332435 As for Jerry's World...this is it. They offer tours, and even let you go down on the field. Definitely a place you need to go to. Image Unavailable, Please Login
