I was looking at a Stradale but ended up getting an '06 Gallardo. Watching Scud prices and where there going in hopes to trade up in a couple of years. I am getting married this coming march so priorities might change. lol

    so right on

Everyone talking these cars down will post on fchat until they are 80 and spend their entire life without a car.

All of you acting like the sky is falling. It just might but stop posting that you are going to buy one...WHEN.....It's a waste of typing space.

You will never ever be happy and you will always think they will be cheaper next week.

RTGT's clients have the problem not the sales guys.

One of my neighbors ordered his Scud and 16m Gold rimmed.

Even a Scuderia can't make those gold wheels look good!

It is all relative. I can justify to myself paying 150K for a Ferrari, but 200K is just too rich for my blood (even for a Scuderia). Maybe later on, but I just can't come to grips right now with spending that much. It is kinda funny; 150K for a car seems pretty reasonable, but I won't swing for 200K. Weird, I know.

That's why I bought a 996 GT2 . Less than 1/2 of original retail with 3700 miles. Add a tune and you would smoke a Scuderia for less than 90k. You could even have a GT2 and a 360 Spider. I was going to buy a Scuderia next Spring, will see what happens with the pricing. Will easily be at 140-160 by 2016 probably for a 2009 with low miles.

I have a 993TT and I suppose I will appease myself with it until the Scud prices come down to where I feel comfortable pulling the trigger (if it happens). Of course, I will be a year or more older most likely. There seem to be a few Scuds out there with 7 or 8 thousand miles on them in the 180 range. Maybe we should just go ahead and reach up and grab one of them.

I could buy two nice lots for a custom house with a bigger garage for 180k. My 360 with Tubi is enough for now, and the GT2 when it shows up will keep me happy for a while, with less depreciation.

I'm sure it is one of his cars. He's a neighbor I don't do a lot with him but he always buys the newest car everytime they come out. I'm sure it's for sale to fund the new 458 Spider he would be ordering.

If it is his it would have been driven like a little old lady. Most likely never rev'd above 7k rpms for whatever miles it has.

only problem with your GT2 is that it sounds crap, as does my 996TT, even with a Europipe

I like mine with the Europipe, better than stock. But it doesn't sound anywhere near as sweet as a 360 with hyperflow cats and aftermarket mufflers.

The quantity v. quality debate will rage on here indefinitely, and it's rather pointless. There are almost infinite permutations of how many and what specific cars you could buy instead of one car. And the notion that one should keep waiting, and waiting, for years and years, until the cows come home, when you think the price is just right, is kind of silly, imho.

BTW, I owned a 996 GT2. What an uninspiring POS that thing was, and is. I would rather buy a track modified ZO6, with a normally aspirated V8 and steel brakes, for less money than that ugly pig.

I don't expect it to sound like my 360. And who cares, you wouldn't even hear it, you would only see the back end of it though, lol.

To each his own. You do what you want with your money, I will be more conservative with mine, and laugh each time my neighbor loses 50k + on his trade ins, and you lose more than 100k on yours.

Cool! So you're going to go out and buy a Stradale! I doubt anyone buying a Stradale here today will ever experience a $100k loss.

I remember some people paying $250K+ when the first Porsche 996TT came out.

    Now they're worth less than a 993TT.

Of course the same thing happened with the F40 ($1M+) and 599 ($500K+).

I like to wait a few years before I buy.
