    Does anyone know the inside diameter of the small "S" shape water pipe that comes out of the bulk head to below the thermostat?
    Its # 17 in the diagram.

    I have it at home. If you wait, I can measure it for you. I took mine to Kragen and they found one that match it well enough for $15. Just cut off the piece you don't use. Replace it every time you remove the engine for $15 and you will be safe.
