If anybody needs enticement, seems to me this is a perfect way to spend a Saturday (as long as the temp dips well below 100). Image Unavailable, Please Login
According to the weather app on my iPhone, that is highly possible. Down here, the week starts off with a high of just 90.
Hello to our FerrariChat friends, Once again, the Ferrari community is stepping up for a great representation at our show next week - thank you very much. In the past couple of days, we received these entries: 1977 Maserati Bora 1969 Lamborghini Espada 1989 Lamborghini Countach 2012 Lamborghini Aventador (it was at Cars & Coffee this morning) And the best of all: 1966 206S Dino factory race car - one of 17 made Come out and join us - register today at www.italiancarfest.org - you will definitely want to be a part of this year's show! Best regards, Bob Dezzany 214-668-2382
Come on guys. For those who haven't registered, please do so. This is a great event. I'm getting some of the DFWAC members to come out (even though it's mostly a German car forum).
This will be my first time to go. Hopefully a bunch of cool ferraris show up. It looks like there's already a few.
There were some there last year, but my favorite sight last year were the 2 Diablos sitting next to each other, both with the doors up. Great photo op. You'll definitely enjoy it.
Is this the 'surprise' Ferrari mentioned in the original post? I'm definitely looking forward to it. I haven't seen a 246 Dino in a long time and I've never seen a 330 of any sort. Those two are enough to drag me out of bed and make the drive. Everything else is icing on the cake, and I love icing!
I know how you feel with the Dino and not seeing one in a long time. Before 2011, I'd only seen one Dino. I've seen 3 this year so far, though one of those was down at Ferrari of Austin. Other 2 were locals.
Hi Bob - I am looking forward to attending! Question - Do you know if that 206 is one of the cars in this list?... http://www.ferraribuy.com/fb/datab/206sp.htm
Poking around on the Internet, it would appear to be SN 28 and this car... http://www.flickr.com/photos/22166506@N06/6075656158/ This was not the original surprise Ferrari mentioned, but this one tops just about anything!
I think 34 is the number worn by the car burned at Sebring - Chassis #26?... Can't wait to see whatever the surprise Ferrari is!
Not sure about the number 34, but that car was at Concorso this year so that is supposed to be the car.
Some great potential photo ops for this year that we should be able to lay out on the field: Red, white and blue Diablos in a group A white Countach and a white Aventador A 1961 Fiat 500 in red with new Fiat 500s in red A mostly stock early Fiat 124 Spider, and mildly customized one 'in progress' - both orange The Dino 206 SP
I was hoping to bring a friend's blue 348ts but the alternator is having issues. (among a list of other things)
The gremlins have basically surfaced & needs quite a few things adressed, still waiting on the OK to get it out to Norwoords. If it was my car I'd take much better care of it.
