My apologies Peter, I didn't realize you were a worldwide expert on F1 - I have clarified that MS is not racing with the same skills he had when he won his titles. IF you can't see that you are blind. Many here on Fchat claimed when he made his return that he would be winning championships, etc. Hasn't happened.

First of all, I never said he isn't one of the top 10 in the world, I simply said he is a shadow of his former self, he isn't in my top 5 on today's grid, and that if we are opening it up to world wide track racers he would clearly only be in my top 10.

To wit, on TODAY'S F1 Grid, I would take:
    1) Alonzo
    2) Vettel
    3) Hamilton
    4) Button
    5) Rosberg

I would put him 6th, but how could you possibly put him ahead of Rosberg when Nico has outperformed him Head to Head in the same car - for multiple seasons?

God forbid anyone of Fchat would question the deification of MS...LMAO!

    Thoughts?

Instead of being a smart arse, like I am, you should just read your own posts. If you say someone was good, but isn't anymore, isn't that the same as saying someone isn't good? That was the very post you made that I commented on.

Then you went on to say he's only top 10. TOP 10 FFS!!! Out of all the circuit racers in the world?? And that's bad?

In the end you're now saying he's 6th in your opinion.....so a 42 year old guy who was out of the sport for 3 years is the 6th best circuit racer in the world (in your opinion). What a bloody shame for him!

I really don't understand the criticism. He sounds like he's a brilliant genius going on your description.

p.s. anyone who thinks that MS is driving poorly just because he's being beaten by Nico is grossly underestimating Nico.

Point taken. Apparently it would be easier if you and I were to sit down and have a beer so we could hash this out...suffice to say that many people suck MS's pecker on this site, and although I think he has accomplished a ton, he isn't as good as he once was. He can't even beat his own teammate.

In any case, at least you and I realize we can both be a smart arse, but that is pretty much what Fchat is about from what I gather...LOL.

Well there you go then! So why the critisism of MS? Sounds to me like he's doing pretty well...and if it wasn't for the tall poppy thing, there'd be no discussion.

Given that no driver, or any great achiever, is going to be a "nice guy" I can't see holding attitude against them.
I don't hate any driver (I reserve that emotion for folks I actually know), but I don't respect them all equally.

Hate is reserved for people who abuse kids and animals. Last time I looked you didn't qualify on either count.

In that case, where do you stand emotionally when it comes to Porno Max?

He definitely qualifies in my book for hate. What a total *******.

I would include rapists and murderers, or any crime against women.

    And politicians.

Hate, no. Although I have disliked a few over the years.

I used to despise Alonso when he was a cocky young upstart, but he matured (and was no doubt warned by management to cool it) in recent years and is a hero for Ferrari.

Hamilton still has some maturing to do and I despise his TEAM, arch enemy of Ferrari (nothing personal guys, other than to Darth Vader/Ron Dennis).

I liked Kimi and supported him fully at Ferrari, but was disappointed that he didn't appear to give his all after winning his WDC. When he is focused, he is one of the quickest F1 drivers ever, but he is a lone wolf, not a team leader.

I'm no fan of Mosley or Bernie. But that's another thread.
