Here's a reasonably priced option and you can convert to/from metric/imperial if you wish..... http://www.prosport-ferrari.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=227&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29&lang=en&vmcchk=1&Itemid=29
Do you know where I can get the yellow tach gauges in your post? Do they come in red? Let me know. Thanks!
Sorry to bump so old thread but did the factory make any sort of CS Tach optio onto regular 360? I bought a car which has OEM CS grilles (front & back), carbon seats, rollbar and a yellow rev counter background. Which really "illuminates" as a factory one would, ie. its perfect. So is there any chance that it would be OEM also? Car has been sold new in Italy June 2001.
Anyone can help me with this?? Purchasing the tach from prosport. Regards JJ Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
You'll need a new EL backlight film. You can ship your dash to FAI in southern California to have them upgrade it for you or you can buy their EL film and gauges and do it yourself (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-360-430-Instrument-faces-with-backlight-film-/252819779220)
Also, just a FYI, Prosport's tach gauge only lights up the outer half if you keep the stock 360 dash's EL film. You can ask Mike at Prosport to buy a fully translucent yellow tach gauge so that the whole gauge lights up, but if you don't buy the above EL film that's capable of lighting up the entire tach, and you buy a fully translucent gauge and keep the stock 360 EL film, then you're going to end up with the pacman effect.
Hi , I already lookup the ebay site. The total price including the film is 800. Prosport full clock faces is £195 without the illumination and i need to source out new illumination film. Should i just go with complete package of $800 or buy prosport and buy a new illumination film? Thanks mate Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
They sell the EL film on its own but it's still pretty expensive at $375; but in the end, it's still cheaper when combined with the prosport gauge than buying the $800 set from FAI: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-360-430-575-Backlight-film/222698470646?hash=item33d9dcfcf6:g:RkQAAOSw9mFWJRKu
Yes you definately need to. Easiest way is to use the master isolation switch in the front compartment
Thanks do you know what transparent paint they used to paint the needle? Did the whole thing with a transparrent red paint.but it dint light up on the dash at night.i tested it with a flash light and worked but i guess the dash light wasnt bright enough to light up the needle at night. This is what I used, bought from a local hobby store. I did around 3 coats. Image Unavailable, Please Login My needles light up OK, but I have to have the dimmer turned all the way up. Others have had the LED's for the needles changed to higher output red LED's which help significantly.
Any idea if the yellow tach was an option from factory? My car went trough early Ferrari customer specialization program called "Carrozzeria Scaglietti". It has few extra options from factory like two-tone steering wheel from factory with 12 o'clock stripe, full leather interior (firewall in full leather, door sills, foor etc), crash bar, carbon seats and a yellow tach gauge. I wonder has someone really seen the trouble to switch the tach gauge only. As the dash has never been removed / tampered with, at least thats what my trusted independent Ferrari mechanic is saying.
Follow the instructions.just did mine this past weekeend.had to redue the color of the needle a few times till it was able to light up at night.put tape over your f1 paddles and tape over the bottom of the guages so you dont scratch them up.after taking the dash out a few times its pretty easy. Why didn't you go all the way and color the other gauges when you had the cluster disassembled? That will change the entire look Image Unavailable, Please Login
I liked the black and white needle look of the guages.i just wanted the contrast of the yellow and red.the white needle dint pop enough against the yellow.and at night looks great. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I also polished out the small scratches on the plastic lenses. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using FerrariChat.com mobile app
What worked best for me after trying diffrent paints and glow in the dark paints was a floresent acrylic orange red from Michaels.works well at night. Sent from my LM-X210(G) using FerrariChat.com mobile app
