The big question is, did Scott get a better digital camera? :D lol... I'm a big fan of the challenge grille, mine has one and I think it's a must have from both a performance (heat) and appearance standpoint. Nice work on this project...

Did anyone else get a bill from US customs? I opened a letter from DHL today and it says I owe $46.00 dollars for US customs because I ordered the grill from the UK. I am just wondering if any of you guys got the same bill? I just thought the price I got included all shipping. Before I make any big deal about it does anyone know was this supposed to be included in our group buy or is this something new? I have never received a bill like this before.

Actually JC just to add insult to my injury. I lost just about exactly what it would have cost me to buy you one. I wish I had just bought one for you and saved myself the shame of the beating. :p

I double checked my bill and you are getting robbed worse than me. I feel better now. :D
Oh well it's just like being in small business a new fee is always just around the corner.

Having a Fiorano I take the grill for granted. I can't imagine a solid piece in place of it. It's hot enough in there! If I had a reg 355 I would make it a top priority! IMHO.

$46 is not bad in this neck of the woods! Our Customs charge an import duty and VAT at 20% based on the total invoice (including carriage costs!) The only way around it is to get the supplier to down value the shipment which, of course, is illegal! And in any case they can estimate the value if they consider it has been undervalued to avoid import duty. The suppliers shipping cost wont include import duty because that depends on local rates and varies depending on what the shipment contains.

Incidentally, it has been great to start a thread that has had over 100 posts and nearly 7000 hits. I have started a few threads on here and other forums over the years but never one apparently as popular as this. May have saved you guys a few buck as well - great!

Yeah John, I know you are right. The most important thing is the grill is great. It looks perfect and fits just as well so $46.00 is a small price to pay I guess. Looking at the big picture always helps. :) Regards Scott

I just never had to pay it before so it was a little confusing but no big deal!!
