that the rest of the car likely was? I am having a PPI on 99 550; James Patterson tells me " I have not looked at the mechanical but the entire interior is sticky, and the list for cosmetics is going to be long"....how do you drive the car with that SH-- all that time and ignore it? think I may pass already but I did tell him to go ahead and see what the rest of the car looks like, dog

If it has had a lot of wear and tear then yea, pull the plug. If it's dirty and can be cleaned up it could be an opportunity especially if others are passing on it. Your hunch is probably correct that you might as well find a guy that's been totally anal about the car inside and out.

I'm OCD about the exterior of the car. That being said fixing all the stickiness on the inside is a lot harder and more expensive, so I haven't gotten around to it on my car. Doesn't mean the car has been neglected mechanically it's perfect!

I thought that like 355s the 550 was fairly notorious for sticky interiors ie its not too unusual - as a result there are a lot of cars that reflect RMani's description of his

I just finished the interior restoration of my GT4. The rest of the car is in wonderful condition
albeit original except for the paint.

    You can't assume anything.

Interior restorations take time and patience. Probably why so many have not been done.
