    I was wondering if anyone knows of a source to find a drivers side dash vent for my 348. Mine was cracked, like someone who did not know better tried to take it out the wrong way. It is beyond repair.

    I saw one on Ebay for $580.00. I dont mind spending some cash but that seems pretty steep for a vent.

    Just wondering if I am missing some other source. Thanks again for the help.

    Ouch, that does seem steep, but I can't claim to be surprised; it's a Ferrari and that seems to be a reoccurring theme. Part of the territory really....

    I have just gotten fantastic prices from GT Car Parts in Arizona... talk to Bill Young.

    Instead of doing the usual "half off the new part price" like T.Rutlands, they seem to be around the 0.2 or .25 mark.

    $614.23 at Ricambi, so a wee bit more than the used Ebay example you found. But hey... used vs new. Lucky it isn't the other side. That one is over $800. Ouch!

    The one on ebay is new as well. I got another price of $477.77 from another vendor. Still seems awful expensive, even for Ferrari. I am hoping to find a used one, maybe from a salvage yard. Any other ideas would definately be appreciated.

    Ah, I didn't realize that one on Ebay was new as well. I just assumed, since I see them on Ebay from time to time, and usually from cars being wrecked and parted out. Too bad you weren't looking a few weeks ago. There was a car being parted out in Portland with parts on ebay for very reasonable amounts. $150 for each side vent, and $100 for the center vent, if I remember correctly. I ended up getting the A/C "power unit" for less than $100. (My HVAC unit randomly throws an "E7" error, pointing to this component as the problematic part, and those are over $350 new I think). Not bad prices at all considering...

    Ah well, just a matter of time before more surface.

    This might be worth a try, however it is probably a long shot... but you could check with Robbie at www.stickynomore.com ("285Ferrari" here, I believe). I wouldn't be surprised if he as acquired a few random pieces and parts along the way. You might get lucky and he might have one he can part with. Maybe not, but one can always ask.

    Call http://www.ferrparts.com/ ask for Russ and deal with him direct, He has over $15,000,000 in parts and he want's to sell, so I'm sure he will take offers if he has what you looking for.

    Sounds like the best suggestion yet. AND there are two 355 in the list of "cars just in for breaking." Same vents there.

    I assume there is a place with two cars ready to be parted out but I am not following where this may be. I probably am sounding pretty stupid but am new to this game and need some clarificaiton if possible.

    Who and where are these cars? Thanks and I truly appreciate all the assistance.

    Thanks for the offer, I truly appreciate the gesture. The problem is that it was cracked in half and two pretty big pieces were missing. When I took it out it basically just fell apart. It is beyond repair to the point that I took out the center vent and through the rest of it away.

    Thanks again for the offer....I am amazed how everyone on this site bends over backwards to help each other. I sure hope I can return the favors someday.

    no problem... I always have to repair small plastic parts as there are so many of them that are either way over priced or made of un obtainium... I have to fix the ashtrays all the time and when its done you cannot tell its been repaired and it is stonger than new...
