Ouch! But +1 I agree - I've never much liked the guy for some reason. Wasn't he involved with Tom Walkinshaw (another crook IMO) back in the day? Another member of the "seedy underside" of the sport - He's been around a *long* time in many roles - Team principal, driver manager, marketing guy, etc. Yeah, I guess they're pissed, but they're often pissed that the sun rises in the East too. I don't really see what top-secret, relevant information he could be taking with him at this stage - Some outline specs of the '13 motors? In fact, didn't he leave *before* they moved the goalposts from I4's to V6's?..... I'd LOL if he's got all the data for the 4's..... Guys move teams all the time - OK, I know this is a little different as he's got access to all the teams information rather than just the one, but I still think it's a storm in a teacup and not a reflection of JT's integrity or lack thereof..... As to whether PURE will get an engine on track, I'll give 'em a chance but suspect it'll never happen for reasons that will remain blurry and obscure - Pollock and a few others will pocket a bunch of investor money and nothing will happen is my guess. As far as I know the move was made Aug1. There are indications that he had done a deal with PURE well before that which may or may not have been known about by JT. No matter what actual harm is done by this it seems that Todt has abandoned even the fig leaf of transparency that we were promised. Its not enough for those in authority to do no harm they must also be seen to be doing honest bidding. Caesar's wife and all that. David

I hear you, and certainly understand where you're coming from. Personally, I'm not yet ready to tar JT with being "corrupt" or having no clothes - He (and by extension, the FIA) "wished them well" and I think machining metal for the new motors is still so far off JT didn't see any conflict of interest. FWIW, Autosport announced that he was going to PURE on July 28th, followed by howls from the teams on the 29th (!) followed by Pollock saying he's "baffled" by the switch to V6's on August 3rd..... I reckon PURE may be in possession of a bunch of useless I4 data.....

I think JT's a bit savvier than that. Again it's not so much the harm done but the thoughtless distain for even the semblance of fairness.
However he has along way to go to sink to the levels of Mosley, and believe me in my book that is low..
