    Hi Guys

    I recd my Supremo kit today! woohoo!! Thanks Dave!

    Then I opened it, saw like a million pieces and got quite apprehensive about what lays ahead... I've read throught the installation manual and it explains how to remove old connectors, cut em, replace to gold pins, and reinstall into the same old housing and reconnect...

    However, there are quite a few pieces that I have that were not mentioned in the manual?? Im not sure what to do with them, so if either Dave or anyone else who has done the install themselves can help me figure out where they go, it would help me get started on my install...

    I have taken some pics (below) and lettered the different parts... so please fill in my blanks... THANKS SOO MUCH!!

    Pic 1A + Pic 1B = Pic 1 : Parts A B C D
    Pic 2: Part E (plus more part Cs (with tool) and Ds (top left))
    Pic 3: Part F

    A =
    B =
    C =
    D = ?? 5 different colors
    E = Male/Female washers - where to use?
    F = Boots (as showed in install manual)

    Also, there are quite a few connectors: can someone point out of an engine pic where to find them.

    Thanks again guys!!

    well that was fast...

    I spent 3 hours trying to figure it out... took pictures and posted on FChat for help... and then suddenly realized what they were (looked at the OTHER manual)...

    A/B = o2 sensor housing parts
    C = various terminals
    D = seals

    However, Im still a little lost on how to use the seals - the installation manual does not go over that...

    Also, location for all sensors would be very helpful:

    H20 Temp/Transmittor, Fuel Injector Sensors, F1 Pump Gear Sensors, Knock Sensors, Coil, Cam, CLutch, Cranck, O2, Rectanle Plug, Motronic Plug and MAF...

    Thanks

    Once you cut off the plastic snap connector for each harness, you will be left with a stalk of wires onto which you are going to crimp the new gold terminals. Slide the appropriate color seal onto the wire PRIOR to crimping the terminal, with the smaller end of the seal closest to the end of the wire where you will crimp the terminal on. Once you have plugged the terminals into their respective places on the plastic snap connector, slide the seals into the round holes at the back of the plug. I needed a small jewelers screwdriver to help me "stuff" the seals into the round holes. They need to be all the way in the holes.

    MAKE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT RUSH OR TRY TO TAKE SHORT-CUTS!

    This kit will make an amazing difference in your car, but only if it is done correctly.

    For sensor positions, etc., utilize the exploded diagrams on the Ricambi website. Everything is labeled and its position shown.

    Does every wire in every plug have one of those plastic seals?

    No. Only certain plugs like O2 sensors. The majority of the the engine plugs simply have a perimiter gasket on the plug itself.

    Oh....its just that the bag full of white plugs in the photos looks like there's a hundred in there....enough for every wire i thought?

    Im not sure if price has been discussed before, but there are 2 versions: Normal and Supremeo... Normal starts at around a G... Supremeo a little more... but looking at the price of Gold today, Im sure I could melt it and sell it for more ;)

    The look of all those parts is daunting but in reality you will be doing the same task over and over again. Once you get started it is really easy. Just measure twice cut once. All the bosch plugs have numbers on them like 123 on a 3 pin plug. Write down the color of the wire that coresponds to each number. I like to use the release tool FBB2 to release the old pin and cut the wire close to the old pin to maximize the wire length. Then I'll put the seal on it, strip the wire and crimp then make sure I got the color of the wire to match the number of the plug and press the unit home into the plug. Give it a little pull test to make sure it is seated and you are done. Just basically do every plug connected to your engine. It is going to end up that way. Your OM has a nice diagram of where all the stuff is on your car and it is numbered with a legend. Use that for your guide. here is an example of one for the 550M. Look for yours

    Thanks!

    Will look up the OM for locations...

    I dont want to sound like a complete noob, but what is the FBB2 (is it one of the 'picks')?

    Also, my crimps are not working out perfectly - any suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong?
    I've tried a couple and the larger 'crimp' doesn't happen - it seems the wings are not going inside the crimper sealing area (kind of sliding out?)
