Ok saw the issue with the pot and how to fix: (great write up by the way)

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=288373&highlight=seat

But my issue is the pass seat is all the way forward and I can't access the front bolts to take the seat out to make easy access of the pot.

I see the wires under the seat but unsure which to hook up a battery to to move the seat manually. Anybody done this and can tell me:

To move seat with 12 volt battery
    1 Unplug x plug
    2. Attach positive to x colored wire
    3. Attach negative to x colored wire

    Seat will move back

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Connect your battery to the 2 leads on the seat motor, if it doesn't move back, reverse the wires.... you can't hurt it.

However, with all due respect, if you know this little about voltage, motors, electrics, etc... you should seriously consider taking the car to a pro.

Thanks for the advice and understand where you are coming from. I have wired stereos and alarms in my youth but a little intimidated by this car since everything is so darn expensive. Also noticed there does not seem to be a fuse for the front seat motors (weird)

    Update:

I read some other posts and unpluged the pot sensor (white plug) and was able to move the seats back and forth to access the seat bolts. Also unjammed my passenger seat from the full forward position. This weekend I will pull the seats out and try to repair the pots myself. Like others have said some of the fun of owning this car is fixing some of these simple gremlins yourself.

    Thanks for all your help!!

Good luck. If the seat moves, you are half way there. Mine did not move at all because the motor shaft was dislodged. It was a royal pain ...

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. My seat pot is still working perfectly. Drove it with the top down tonight, in fact.
