Also, if a dealer doesn't allow the car to move out his facility, will the technician come to the facility to do the full PPI?

Is it something fishy that the dealer's not allowing the car to go out of the facility for the inspection or its a pretty normal practice?

    Thanks!

My spider sense tells me you are considering the 360 Spyder that the Calabasas Motor company is selling. I called them about it and got the distinct impression that the car is a piece of crap. I may be wrong about it but usually cars with custom stereo systems with back up cameras drilled into Challenge grills were treated like crap.

Of course I very well could be wrong and it could be a wonderful car that exceeds all expectations....

Why wouldn't you just take it to the Auto Gallery or call Dave and hire one of his techs to come to the dealer?

If the dealer won't let it leave the facility for a PPI, then just move on to the next car. Never trust a dealer who's not willing to let someone else look at a car in order to sell it.

whatever you do dont listen to this guy...Auto gallery is the WORST. Talk to beverly hills...and calabasas luxury motors has a great reputation for selling good cars in solid conditions...not much to worry about...they have ferrari trained techs working there to.

If they will not let you take the car to a place for a PPI, and you can't get a mechanic to go there, just pass on the car, and don't look back. It is that simple. Heck the dealer themselves might not know what is wrong with the car, if anything, but you certainly have the right to know.

Exactly. I fail to see how anyone can connect the words "factory trained technician" with the business currently known as "Calabasas Luxury Motor Cars." Please, someone educate me. [Edit -- never mind -- just visited their site and saw that they have a brand new service facility. Mmmm, interesting how it is being promoted in this thread.]

There are some independent guys (Gary Bobieliff comes to mind) who will travel to perform a PPI, but expect to pay top dollar for his services. This is normal in the world of vintage collector cars.

yes i do know what im talking about...the auto gallery has the worst service department and customer service in all the valley...your better off taking your car to get serviced there than the auto gallery...Most of the people in the valley now are taking there car there...(enzo) was just in there for a full service. If you really cant trust calabasas for whatever reason...take it to beverly hills.

Just curious what your actual experience was at AG? I don't know anyone that services at Calabasas but I've serviced my Ferrari's at Auto Gallery since 2004 and have never had a bad experience. Everyone I've sent there has had similar experiences to mine Sorry your experience was less than stellar.

Dude, you have some nerve to post negative crap. Do you really think with only 66 posts and no profile your comments are seriously considered?. Obviously, you have no idea about Auto Gallery and the history behind their awesome team.

FYI, the only trusted tech in the Valley teamed up and joined Auto Gallery... Do I need to mention his name???

I had a very bad experience with Beverly Hills and it was not even repair related, I can’t imagine taking my car there and trust them. With Auto Gallery, I have not had any problems... They have done the engine out and Clutch on my Redhead. So save your words... They are worthless to most of us here.

" Obviously, you have no idea about Auto Gallery and the history behind their awesome team."

and yes i know all about the "awesome team" at the auto gallery..I have tried to buy FOUR cars from them...they think they are to good for everyone. So i went to Beverly hills/Newport to buy my cars. I tried to give them a chance on service since they are so close to Hidden hills but they blew that two! Worthless Dealership. And there is a reason why they just replaced their entire sales department.

Clearly something happened between you and the AG service team since early July when you posted good things about Nick:

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140648837&postcount=19

But the criticism I see from you in this thread seems to center around the Sales department. What's the connection?

I once was told never wrestle with a P*g in the mud because the P*g likes it... I am not the one hiding behind a screen name, you are.

"who am I"? I am Haig, someone who is respected on this forum, at Auto Gallery as well as on the road by most F-CAR owners.

The problem with guys like you who think their S**t do not stink and think you are better than most of us here becuase your Ferrari has carbon fiber, usually end up having no friends.

No wonder you had a bad experience, it is because you have a chip on your shoulder walking in to the sales department thinking you are better than the pepole who are ready to serve you just becuase you can finance a purchase.

You need to learn how to respect others first in order for them to respect you.

By the way, since you really have no idea who I am, let me assure you that I can buy any Ferrari just like you can and maybe even more. I am proud owner of my Testarossa.

They have a new team and a new attitude. I too had a bad experience there as well (a long time ago) but the new management has gone a long way to unwind any bad feeling I may have had in the past. I will go there again when I need to, and without hesitation.

You, OTOH, more than likely won't give them the chance to prove that to you and that's your loss, that is if you have anything to lose. I suggest you take all the supposed $$$$$$$$$$$ you saved at Bev Hills  purchase a ticket to Jolly Old and check out your namesake, for the first time! ;)

I have bought 2 ferrari's from them within the last 3 years. The managment that is there presently is new and not whom I dealt with when I bought the first 430.

However, I do need to say that my recent purchase of the scuderia from Auto Gallery has been nothing but first rate. Joe the sales manager whom sold me the car had great customer service and was very knowledgeable about Ferrari was a pleasure to work with, while dealing with Ron the manager for the final price was nothing but bottom lined statements with no double talk----that sales cars to people like me, also he is family man who puts pics of them in his office, I like that. I also had the pleasure to meet David which he took in my trade and also treated me as person should be treated. I would highly recomend these guys towards your next purchase. I already have a test drive set up with the italia soon with Auto Gallery.

With that said, the new management is better than the old in ways of customer service and generally treating you better as a person, however the old management was not that bad, I have seen worst.

There is alot to be said how you enter the dealership and your attitude. I always treat people as how I would want them to treat me.

Not every sales person personality fits every buyers personality. Thats when negative comments happen. That may have been with the old management? We all have bad days.

It seems you have been around this area and these guys for awhile? I have not had any service experince yet from them. However, If I order the Italia it would fall under that extended service warrenty for the 2012's and I would hope the service there would be as good as the sales dept?
