Pretty sure it was you. Blue LED cockpit lights and a crew of 4-6 people? Boat looked awesome and so different from all the Sea Rays and Meridan boats. I was on the end of the dock on a T and watched the boat come in for a while.

Ah, well if you ever head up the bay I may see you. We spend a lot of time on the Bohemia and Chesapeake Inn area. Took the boat out today and it felt like fall boating!

I love fall boating. One of my favorite cruises is up the Chester river when the leaves change = Heaven. By the way how is the debris in the Chesapeake Bay? I know they were talking on the news about floating logs, debris in the water from the flooding and overdrawn rivers? I want that to settle down before I bend a prop, or worse :(

I just spoke with a friend who sailed from Annapolis to the Wye River yesterday. He reported sighting, and dodging, a lot of junk.

I think we'll be seeing "stuff" in the water for another couple of weeks.

If you chose to go out, keep a sharp lookout and maybe moderate your speed.

Any of you boating in the Chesepeake Bay be very very careful. All of the flooding from a few weeks ago is still effecting the Bay from run off and debris. I have seen tons of debris including, trash, logs, and stumps floating in the water. It was so bad near the entrance to the Severn River a few days ago I just turned around and put her back in the slip. Not worth damaging the hull.

The reason the suspended material is sooo prevelant in the upper Bay, is the result of opening 48 flood gates at the Conowingo dam on the Susquehanna river, basically flushing out all the runoff from a third of Pennsylvania and New York!!

That satellite image is amazing, but sad :( The season is coming to an end and the Bay looks the worst I have seen in years as far as debris, trash, and discoloration. Hopefully next season is a little more quiet as far as the weather goes....

I haven't been on the boat since Irene. I will be back in Annapolis next week. Plan on spending most of October on the Bay. Should be very interesting.

You have Power or a Sail boat? I hope to get out on mine a few more times. I really enjoy fall boating and taking it easy up the rivers to see the leaves change colors. I just hope the debris finds its way to shore....Good luck with your visit to Annapolis. I love the town and the boating is usually very enjoyable in MD for my family and I, just been tough this year with the weather.

I am a rag man. I too love the Annapolis area. The Chesapeake offers nearly endless opportunities.

The water up my way looks like chocolate milk. It's very dirty and full of debris. I'm heading out Thursday for a very short ride to the Chesapeake Inn. Not many days left of this season.

Anyone heading to the Annapolis boat show?

    John

    Very nice!

Ours is coming along nicely; this pic is from our recent water-test on Lake Union.
BTW; these are usually referred to as "The Ferrari of speedboats". And we can beat 29 knots too! More at: www.barnfindriva.com

I'll be at Annapolis show on Friday. Wearing Ducati fleece. Any f-chat person catches me in the Duc gear and I'll buy the painkillers at Pusser's.

I'll be sailing saturday if wind is good. Northern Bay.

Beautiful! I have not seen that one out on the lake but I have run into a little (I'm guessing) 18' Riva on Lake Washington and Lake Union a few times this summer.
