    Hi Olivier,
so you see this car yesterday, I made a visit this morning and could see this car.
Here are some personal pics, I'm not a mechanic so I don't know if it's an interim or not. The auction guy told me it was...
This car has the same mileage ( just one more kilometer) as past April when it was offered for sale.

It was sold to someone who just invested in order to make a quick big R.O.I.

Despite the fact the owner was a real Lamborghini enthusiast for many years, I'm regretting the way the car was presented as one of the 23 "Interims" without any factory documentation... NOTHING !

Not even a factory statement, just what says the production/delivery factory list... What they told me is is a joke : Touring body, steel body, Salisbury diff, Lambo tranny, 4.0 engine.

About the description in the catalog... saying Edmond Ciclet maintained it... it is a lie !!!

Regarding the respray of the valves cover from grey to black, the owner and the mechanic who worked on it provided me an explanation to make all of you laught a good time.

My opinion : Yes we lived in a silly world where there are stupid people to buy without knowledge, yes I undertsand why there are sometimes some cars like this one !

I'm wondering to know if it sold or not ?

    Hi Olivier,

That's been my point all along -- Robert's too. Without any factory documentation, anybody can claim anything about their car.

It's a mess Olivier. It really is.

By not getting involved the Factory is allowing everybody to claim they have one of the 23 Interims.

    Chevau-Légers Auction results :

    Espada is sold...

350 GT & Islero are not sold... even with top bids... same owner for both was too greedy !

Funny to me that even in the museum they can't get the wipers aligned.

    Hi everybody

I have just seen this car advertised: http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/find/4100_results.asp?lCarID=1834514

I guess that there is something wrong with the dash - to me I looks more like a 350 GT dash! - The fire must have taken the correct one or maybe we are just having another 400 GT Interim... from 1967!! ;-)

    Best regards

    ABO

350 GT (false 400 GT) : 250.000 € unsold due to higher reserve price...
Islero GTS (needs full restoration) : 120.000 € unsold due to higher reserve price...

    Olivier -- very interesting restoration!

All the colors throughout the car are "incorrect." Even the number of switches on the dash are incorrect for a 400GT 2+2.

    Still...very nice work!

Strange -- you'd think with all this work they'd want to do things correctly. This is one of the highest-priced 400GT 2+2s I've ever seen.

    But...

Everything is done as if they've never seen a correctly-restored 400GT 2+2 before.

    Nice car though! :)

This supercar, one of the 247 made, has been restored during more than 5 years from the nacked chasis till reaching absolute perfection.

The model advertised, has a unique history. Bought in 1967 by the Belgium consul in Paris, it was burned during the 1968 riots. The car was on the road only for one year 67 - 68 and during 2011 when restoration came to an end.

An extraordinary italian classic that is gaining value every day.

    Hi guys,

I have been thinking again, and I think Raymond is correct about the black mystery car being #0160. I also think that the 350 GTS at the factory was not the Altani #0160 350 GT Coupé being converted to Spyder, but in fact the real thing, the Altani 350 GTS #0328. Here is a picture of #0160, it also has no vents in front of windshield, and interior color is identical.

    Ciao!
    Marcel

Interesting that 160 has had a color change from delivery, when it was Bianco/Nero. (White exterior, Black interior)

I have tried to get that confirmed by the owner some time ago, but I never got an answer. I have it noted as chassis #0892.

No, #0769 also has a funny interior, including blue upper dash, and upper part of doors inside blue, as you can also see in your picture you sent. Different car. But at first glance, the bright blue color looks identical, I agree ;-)

    Hi guys,

I just finished an update on the 300-400 Registro.

All cars are now placed in one overview,
and I've added an extra colom for model 350 GT or 400 GT.
If a car has a 4 liter engine, it is written after the enginenumber.

Some recently discovered cars are added, so it gives a nice overview of the survivors untill today.

Any additions or corrections higly appreciated ;-)

    Check it out here: http://www.lamborghiniregistry.nl/default.asp?010010000000/001

    Ciao!

    Killer Fact:

When Dean Martin scored a hit with Everybody Loves Somebody, he treated himself to a Lamborghini 350 GT,

which became invaluable in his pastimes - particularly involving leading actresses.

Well, the picture is the proofs it worked, haha!

So, next question, wich 350 GT was owned by Dean Martin?

I read he has owned a Miura as well

    Ciao!

So, to start -- are you convinced that 101 was the first "production" 350GT? Or are you considering it a prototype only? And crashed by Wallace, etc....

I also have no number for 101's motor. This is a tricky one... But colors I have are same you have.

I have Touring (etc) notes from Marcel DeLange:

    >>
    Touring 17001
3 seat - 9th March 1964; is this the geneva show car later destroyed during testing by bob wallace?
    <<

    Other notes (from Marcel DeLange):

    >>first 'production' 350GT was #101 (probably the Geneva car, but I'm not sure) and it was delivered when new to a musician in Viareggio, Versilia. This guy became in fact one of the first real-time test-drivers of the 350GT...as the car had not been fully developed by the beginning of 1964, when he took delivery.*I have also been told a few very funny anecdotes of this guy dealing with Ferruccio Lamborghini about the problems he had with the new car, and they're quite interesting, though not printable.
    <<

From somewhere else -- not sure where!
    >>
Test Driver Bob Wallace wrecked 0101 (a Green car w/ Cream Interior and a 2+1 seating configuration). The car was destroyed and no longer exists. He apparently had a potential French customer with him at the time.
    <<

    That's what I've got. Comments?

    Cheers,

    Fred
