Oh My! Lots to do here mate, hope you got her on the cheap! Looks like the bloke fell asleep and crashed right into the moat. Lets see, 15k for parts + labor + paint + a Major Maintenance bill so if I'm honest, there's no way you will get what you put into it my friend!

But all the best and keep us updated.

    Cheers!

Do I perceive that the fog light and turn signal are intact? If its true you are very lucky. I wish you the best.

I must say it does look bad but with any vehicle that has had an accident it always looks better when the damaged parts have been removed. Having said that, you sometimes come across damage that beforehand could not be seen. I have since sourced a used front wing and also fitted it, so it is already looking alot better. Some parts I will be repairing such as the bumper which is made of glassfibre and the top front panel of which can be beaten into shape. Pics to follow. I only anticipate in spending around £1500 in parts and at the most £200 in paint. It is going to be a big job to repair this Mondial to a high standard that it deserves and I do feel that it is within my capability to do so.

I was looking at those too. Seems that the most expensive parts were spared. ;)

I am not sure how much the front lamps are but I do know that here in the UK the wing is around £750 and the headlamp pod is around £600 not taking into account the actual headlamp which is about £300. I actually bought 2 used front wings which were in very good condition for £465 delivered to the door. Not bad eh.

Good deal on the wings! When available, I've seen the lower light assemblies listed for over $1000, each.

To me here in the uk that seems very expensive but then again when you start looking for these items you then realise just how expensive these parts reallly are. Sometimes just finding that these are available is a godsend irrespective of the price.

    Hi Nino:

Good craftsmanship BTW. Like the way you beat that front panel to almost new condition. I am not sure how much of the parts you have sourced, But I might be able to help you with the right headlight lense and the right fog light. How bad are those two broken. I think 348 and 355 headlights are the same as fas as the lense goes but not the bucket.
Let me know what normal size items you still need that will make sense in shipping and I will see what I can do for you.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

What I do need more than anything is the headlamp pod. The motor is ok and the mounting bracket for the motor to the pod is ok. I can get one in the uk at a cost of £500. Can also obtain a headlamp with no problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry Steve I forgot to mention that you are right about the headlamp lense being the same as the 348 and the 355 but the pods are different. Also the fog/lamp assembly is not damaged so won't need one which will save a fair amount of money.

Not sure if this is the right bumper, but Eddie Walsh has one (in Red) here in the UK that looks in good condition!

I have the QC Cab so it didn't fit mine it is a newer one but don't know if there are differences between the later models

Hi Ian, yes that is a later bumper and it would fit my Mondial t and if I remember he wanted something like £650 for it. Not to worry because even though mine is in 3 bits and the fact it is made of glassfibre means that I can repair it quite easily.

    Hi Nino,

I just looked at your thread and I think she will look great once done. I have seen sheet metal guys do pretty impressive shapes and from what see you know the trade.

    Good luck,

well from the looks of this this should be very interesting looks like you have the skills. I seem to think you look like it's more of a project that you'd rather fix than buy... Good for you. I truly look fwd to this thread.
