Valve covers on, engine on gearbox. I have to double check the carbs then they and the linkage will go on. I ran out of time today or I wouldve installed the rear cover and mounts. Side cover as well but I want to check the fork positioning with the box horizontal before I button that up. It would make a great coffee table, awesome to look at.

Im catching up to you Murray, my rotating assy goes out tomorrow. Ill have some BBi shots next.

Wow Newman, just fantastic. That is surely one of the craziest looking engines ever fitted to an automobile. And I mean that as a compliment. What a work of art.

Simply gorgeous Paul. It's a pity it has to be put back into the car; IMO, it would look better in a glass case, mounted on a rotating pedestal.

Gonna run it on an engine stand first, or plop it straight in?

Yeah it sure is a great looking engine and seeing it sitting there really gets me thinking about how to get one for a coffee table! Its a little high with a gearbox under it but ill put up with that lol. Just have to get it past my wife!

No dyno before putting it in John, just a pain to hook it up but im thinking of making a portable drysump setup so its easier to setup on a typical engine dyno like at the local shop.

Dropped it in yesterday afternoon then spent today sorting out clutch issues, went through the bellhousing linkage correcting some issues (harder than you might think), transfer gears, installing studs, refinishing headers and buttoning up underside stuff. Also corrected a few issues up front and pulled a new coolant line through the chassis to the engine etc....

Hard to believe all that torque goes through that shaft the diameter of my finger.

Yes ill clean the main battery harness to the starter.
