The Porsche Mille World Record Porsche Tour & Festival

Hello everyone, I've been planning this event for over 6 months and spent hundreds of hours getting to this point to let you all know about this.

Our goal is to set a Guinness World Record for the largest parade of Porsches ever. The West Coast always had the best Porsche events, until this one.

Summary

The Mille 2011 will coincide with four key Porsche Milestones:

• 60th Anniversary of Porsche in the USA
• 51st Anniversary of the Peachstate Porsche Club of America
• 25th anniversary of the Porsche 944 Turbo
• 25th anniversary of the Porsche 959

The Porsche Mille is set to be a historic event and gathering of Porsche automobiles at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA on November 5th 2011. The Mille will provide multiple activities for Porsche owners, enthusiasts and their families. The cornerstone of the event is an attempt at a Guinness World Record with the largest number of Porsches in a single parade.

Important Event Information:

-LOW COST PORSCHE EVENT!!!
-World Record Size Escorted Porsche Parade
-All Porsche vehicles invited to this historic East Coast event
-Racing Porsches allowed on the street to partake in the parade
-Massive marketing campaign dedicated to our sponsors and vendors in exchange for sponsorship.
-We expect between 1500 and 3000 participants and spectators providing 1,000 Porsche vehicles.
-We have arranged with Georgia State Patrol, Henry County Sheriffs Department and the GA DOT to allow Porsche race cars in the 3 mile parade route.
-Many celebrities/TV media/radio personalities have been invited
-We have asked PCNA to bring some cars from the Porsche museum
-We expect several very important racing Porsches and their drivers to attend
-Fantastic marketing opportunities for sponsors and vendors; very focused market group
-After parade, we will fill the entire 1.5 mile oval track with Porsches and take photos, including aerial photos with helicopter.
-Onsite Food and Refreshments offered by the Atlanta Motor Speedway vendor
-Autocrossing, Drag Racing, Porsche Display, Oval Track Laps
-Sponsors and vendors will be provided with plenty of powered, indoor building space, garage spaces for their displays, display area for parts, cars and tables, ect.
-Rain date is November 6th 2011 at Atlanta Motor Speedway
-Safety is paramount

HEY GUYS!! Amazing news: The Mille is now sponsored by Porsche Cars North America. They are going to bring out a lot of "historically" significant cars to the Mille event. They are also going to have all the 2012 Porsches there for test drives. Its going to be one hell of an event.

Hi all just wanted to bump this. We are getting an amazing response, lots of people signed up already, lots of amazing sponsors on board for this event. Please help me pass the word out about The Mille 2011. Its a smaller, grassroots version of Rennsport for the east coast. So far I've got about a dozen confirmed PCA regions around the country who are sending a caravan of cars for the event. The sponsors are really stepping up to make this an amazing event. Special thanks to Porsche Cars North America and Automotivation Body Shop (http://www.autobodymd.net) for their help in making this a great time. Kirk at Automotivations does concours paint jobs for Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Audi , Mercedes. They are painting my super rare 88 944 Turbo S for display at the show.

 

Hey thanks guys, its been a wild ride planning this and working closely with so many companies. Its going to be an outrageous event that is for sure.

Andrew, I will close the online registration about 2 weeks prior to the event around Oct. 17th. You have plenty of time. I do hope you can make it. The GADOT has allowed me to put race cars on the street in the parade, that should be a sight to see!

 

UPDATE: We met with Doc Bundy and he is going to be doing the exhibition laps at AMS in some of the high end race cars. I def want a ride with him. We are getting lots of pre-registrations for the event. Please see attached event flyer!

UPDATE!! I just confirmed with a large collector that we will have some extraordinary Porsches at the Mille. He is bringing a Carrera GT, 935, 962, 356 Carrera GT, 997 TT with 850hp and the Jagermeister sponsored 944 Turbo from the Cup Series in 86-87. I'm SOOO excited and cannot wait to see and hear them on the track! Thanks for everyone's support!

UPDATE! We have a lot of new pre-registrations and lots of new vendors now. We are trying to urge people to sign up on the website instead of the day of the Mille. We are expecting an incredible amount of people wanting to sign up the day of. FYI!! Its going to be awesome.
