Hmm, not sure what you mean by the right stuff not having a solvent in it/not solvent based. If its not solvent based, what base should it be?

Not saying either that we should be hoarding the solvent based concoctions, just saying what "base" should these additives be made from if not solvent?

The Lucas stuff is not solvent based. Makes sense to me that a fuel additive that works as a lubricant not be solvent based.

If it were a permanent install, I'd probably have gone for a nat-gas 12KW auto-generator.

But, as I'm renting, here, it's just a little 4K unit I picked up cheap for the 'puters and fridge.
Getting power to the (gas) furnace fan and thermostat, though, would take a transfer switch that costs more than I paid for the generator.

(There's something fishy about the cost of breaker boxes. The parts can't possibly cost enough to justify the retail prices.)
(Somebody must be making a fortune off certifying to the constantly changing NEC.)

Of course, an option in winter would be to siphon gas out of the Ferrari for the generator, and put fresh gas in the Ferrari in spring. ;)
(Or I could just get all season tires for the 328. The RE11s are the only thing keeping the 328 off the road in the cold.)

Lots of folks in Florida use propane.

Put a big tank underground, out of sight.

Holds enough for a week of frugal running.

Independant of city / state power or water grid.

    Don't need STABIL................
