I like the way you think.... put the 348 up on a lift and then continue onward with my next one.

You're coming to spend the weekend in Winston Salem so we can install it, right?

There is a guy here in Charleston selling a black/black 348. Has been on eBay a number of times. It's rough but sounds like just what you're looking for. Only question mark is I can't remember if it's a spider or a targa/coupe. I'll see if I can find time in the next day or so to drop by his store and see if it's still available and get the remaining details.

Yeah - that's the one - but I see it's a spider and so not what you're looking for.

I doubt the price is firm. It has been for sale for a looong time.

Happy to go look at it for you if you change your mind about convertible.

I really appreciate the offer, I'm going to hunt for the hardtop for now. No offense to the spyder guys just not much of a convertible fan!

Count me in. I'll definitely help. I'm sure we could knock it out in less than a day. I did mine by myself in about a day. Just get it and let me know. You going to the beach next weekend?

Wow, I'm surprised you're selling that car in the $30s. It's a tough market for sellers, I guess.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

No, not a tough market. It's just realistic. I am fairly certain the new home has been found already.

I just hope the new one is going to be even better whatever the double top secret project car will be.

Daniel -- I know this is a bit O/T, but where did you find your carbon fiber roof? I take it it's appreciably lighter than stock?

The roof was introduced(?) here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93438

It is a one-off (or 2-off actually) design. It weighs very little -- maybe 5 pounds, but I cannot recall.

The car had a quick spa treatment yesterday from tech4ferrari. In his words (ok, I'm paraphrasing) it runs like a raped ape. I think it'll be back home tomorrow, and then tucked away.

Okay, pardon my ignorance but is that a good thing or a bad thing. I know if I was a raped ape I'd be running kind of funny!

I dont think that guys will EVER EVER sell his FErrari unless he just gives it away at an unrealistic price..

I called the guy to get more details and info..and he says he "doesn't remember" anything about he car!

1.) He doesn't remember WHEN he bought the darn thing or HOW LONG he had it. (says for a while..but couldn't name amount of years...even approx..)

2.) He doesn't "remember" what exactly was repaired to get the "salvage" title.

3.) He will take trades ONLY if it's a convertible.

4.) The car has NOT had a major perfomed and he says "it doesn't need one...it runs fine"

**I dont think this owner knows ANYTHING about his Ferrari**
    I don't have one (yet) and I think I already know more stuff about 348 than he does..IMO :D :D :D
