Well I have come to a crossroads so to speak, I have looked at some options for the immobilizer and I think I have come to the conclusion that simply paying to get the PIN code from ferrari may (read "is") the easiest solution...

Any input on this? I do have the red fob and only that - it seriously makes me uneasy that one day I may not be able to start my car...

Anyone know where to get the code for less than the $500 that people quote?

Related question - I have all 3 key fobs (black and reds) but do not have the PIN... should I be concerned?

I've never had to use the PIN, but I may have to one day. If you look around you may find the pin listed on service records. Several dealers put that in the records and it gets listed on top. $500 seems like a lot to just get the code. I only paid 700 or so to get a whole alarm ECU and three fobs at my Ferrari dealer. I still have my old alarm ECU with code and fobs, which apparently I can plug into any 355 and disable the alarm.

I would not be, as long as all the fobs work. You still could be stranded if your fob dies - with the PIN you could still start the car.
