I know this is funny because there are a whole lot of 355's with engine issues...sad part is that most people still think for some odd ball reason there car is still worth what a sorted out and properly car is selling for.

OK, here is what I'm lookin for:
    96-99 spider(yellow,black,or red)...black interior. Might consider a GTB.
Ext. must be in great shape with factory paint......int. shape? Seats and dash can be sub par.

Engine can be a total failure and so can the gearbox. I have good engines and gearboxes.

Never wrecked(no fire burn outs) with a straight chassis and underside intact with no repairs.

Factory windshield and spider top(canvas and plastic window) in excellent condition.

Price? Well, what you want and what I'll pay may be an issue...lol

As for parts I've got enough to build several cars from scratch so if you just want to sell a chassis that is definitely not a problem for me it will need to be a roller for transporting but after I receive it you can have the suspension and wheels.

You can contact me at [email protected] since my pm box is slap full.

My car almost fits your needs, its a GTS though. It has crossed my mind but for now its in storage while I sort this out and digest the entire situation. I already have a first right of refusal on it, but I will keep you in the loop.

    Hey Bruce,

Great to chat with you last week! Please consider a package deal where you buy the car and I buy the suboptimal engine and trans. I'd like to get a spare over to Uncle Jesse's mad laboratory and transplant it into my car for minimum downtime. Just a thought.

    Best regards,

    Ralph

Just out of curiosity, what would be the alternative engine to be retrofitted to 355?

Sounds like a case for Gerital "...do you feel tired and listless?...are you un-poopular?...do you pop out at parties?...well...the answer to all your problems is in this little bottle...." Take a few hits off that little bottle and pour the rest in the Omni's gas tank and power steering pump.

Accept it, the kids will likely take away our driving privilages before either of us finish our own cars.

You are way to old also to help me.....guess 2 old farts aren't goin to make a lasting impression on anyone except our grand kids...lol

I will have a talk with Mr. Big on his reference of you being some sort of fecal matter:D
It would probably depend on what color that Omni is.
You know I completely forgot about amazing job you did on my porch, the only problem is my house doesn't need to be painted at this time hahaha

Nooo, just posing the questions..... Having spent yesterday putting up a barn load of hay.... Im buying a case of that swill, the single malt didnt even come close to the task at hand.

Are you talking about the Exxon Valdez? The color of Which panel? Vern, if you get close on the deal, make sure he includes the rare factory optioned luggage rack and the new PS hose he has had in the trunk for a decade now.

Bruce cant buy anything that runs, is intact and already drives....... anymore than I can, it simply is not in our DNA. A perfectly good, sorted and polished car.... Please, what were you thinking?! The two of us only feel value if the car is FUBAR and scattered between three storage trailers in two different counties.

Yes Dave I have the road going version of the Exxon Valdez.....I have managed to make every road around here slick and shiney.

Vern I was going to keep the luggage rack in case I got a GTB but if it's a deal breaker I'll let it go with the car...it needs to be rechromed.

I have no choice but to let go with the car also 2 bullet holes in the passenger door.

And for Mr. Biggie's info I have finally installed the new power steering hose....now it only leaks a quart every 100 miles.

Tires were put on brand new in 1998 and show absolutely no sign of treads.

Never had an engine out because I couldn't find my 1/2" socket which is needed to remove the one and only engine mount(which appears to be dry rotted but that vibration is offset by the bent front wheels).

Good thing for you Vern is that it can be shipped UPS overnight so you can have it by the weekend.

That is what receiver hitches are made for...... what were you thinking?! A luggage rack on a GTB will spoil the aero. Where else would you hang the Bull Sac on a nice GTB?

Tub and tile caulk... fixes bullet holes right up and Vern would never notice it.

It's almost to the point where replacement of the hose would be cheaper than recycled power steering fluid.

Can't you just put what's left of it in a USPS large flat rate box?

I replaced the hose and let my friend get his small hands in the tight space to tighten one of the fittings...wouldn't you know it..he cross threaded it.

I'll only need 2 small flat rate boxes when I get finished with it.

Ask Nikki if she knows where I can hang it.......lol

Vern's not goin to be knowin a whole lots of things about this car...haha

I need this car gone quick as my Loyd's of London Auto insurance is due next month.

Maybe Obama could use it as his get away car when he leaves the white house after the next election.
