    Hello All,

I am looking to install Test Pipes on my 91 348 TS.

Does anyone have/or know where I can get a set for a reasonable price?

I sincerely mean absolutely no disrespect to any of the sponsors (I certainly appreciate all of them) but some of the prices for a piece of pipe and some sensor holes seems pretty steep.

I have looked on the web and am having no luck finding and simple and cost affective aternative. If anyone has a set I would certainly be interested.

    Just looking for any guidance/help.

    Thanks for any help available.

I have got a pair of oem catalytic converters that have been emptied carefully. I changed recently my exhaust system and I have not even put up for sale. My intention is to sell alonside the o2 sensors and the temp sensors for 200€ (shipping costs not incluided)

Thanks for the offer but I would prefer regular straight pipes. Much appreciated.

It seems to me that $400.00 - $700.00 is crazy for these pipes. I guess that is the way it is and there may be no way around it.

I appreciate all the suggestions and help so far.

I totally agree with the absurd cost of an 18" pipe with a sensor bung.
    Several ideas:
    1. Punch out your cats if you intend to not pass inspection again. I'm also in NJ so not the best idea.
    2. Look for a used set from here or ebay since almost everyone has replaced them in some form or another, punch them out and save yours for inspection. I did this one and actually got them for free from member tcannon. I saved mine for inspection 2 years from now.
    3. Take your cats to a shop and have them fab you a set of pipes with bungs. They can't legally make them and put them on but I think they have no problem just making the pipes and you walking out with them.
    4. Make your own set.

There really is little to no difference between test pipes and empty cats as far as performance goes.

Thanks for the advice. I will explore these options. I cant beleive someone does not offer these at a reasonable price. I put an entire polished stainless catback on my porsche for less than 1K. Some of these companies want darn near that for two lengths of pipe. Ferrari TAX I guess. LOL. Thanks again.
