I don't know about you guys, but the steering wheel gets in my way when looking at my speedometer. Has anyone here installed a heads up display in their 355? If so, what are my choices?

A company called Defi makes aftermarket units for tuner cars. They are fairly inexpensive and seem to be good quality. I had a unit a few years a go we were going to build into one of mt track cars but it was never installed.

Here is what one of their products looks like:

There's a few in Europe that plug into the OBD-II port I believe - for example http://www.hud-e.com/

    Craig,

Seems pretty visible to me. For me it's the damn parking brake light. Huds are for planes.

Of course I have adjusted my steering wheel, but where it is the most comfortable for driving, it blocks my line of sight from 20mph to 100 mph. I have to duck my head down to read my speed, I'd rather just look quickly at a hud. Since I have a 95, the obdII is not an option, unless anybody knows where to plug into an OBDI. I have seen a couple on ebay, but they are for the OBDII. There is also a gps option, but that requires plugging into my cigarette lighter, I'd rather hard wire it in, or have it wireless with a rechargeable battery.

The difference between a plug that goes into the lighter and a completely hidden wieing is only a couple of snips and a couple of crimps (after disassembling the console and reassembling afterwards). Given access to the fuse box,.....
