Recently bought another F355 with stock exhuast. I would like to get everyones opinion on the best sounding exhuast for a 97'. My diablo is a beast when it comes to sound, but I would like to know if people prefer one exhuast to another with the Ferrari. I like something deepm throaty and extremely loud!!!

Any suggestions would be great. Thank you

Best I have heard is Capristo.

Tubi is probably the most popular and I have one, it does sound great although at one point, if the opportunity presents itself I will get a capristo.

The 355 with a Cappy is arguably the best sounding V8 Ferrari ever.

I have an available X-ost exhaust. 1 year old. Sounded great but just a little loud for the neighbourhood.

I run an X-Ost. I dont think it's loud for normal neighborhood cruising. It has a wonderful burble. And take it though a tunnel or even an overpass - WOW!

    Personal preference.

What are you looking for...F1 sound, deeper sound at idle/slow etc.....

For F1 scream when valve open......Capristo.

Well, it seems everyone says a Lvl 3 Capristo is the way to go. However, is a level 3 too loud that it becomes uncomfortable after a while? Could you go for cruises and be ok? Also, Capristo quality is supposed to be top notch and was founded by someone who used to work for Tubi but hated their build quality, IIRC?

I think the car in the video has test pipes, mine produces a smoother tone but with the same high pitch scream. Wonderful!

I have a level 1, and I can travel with my wife or child. At WOT, they are the same. The OP said he likes it loud.... the level 3 would be just that.

How you drive will make a huge difference.

I have level 3 and can cruise at 80 k with no problem....actually, it it quieter than other cars.

If you floor it, and depending on what gear you are in, the valve opens and you get the F1 scream....which is what you want.

So you can modulate with your accelerator how the valve opens and how load it sounds.

....this assuming you do not have your valve buzzzzzing ! which of course destroys all the fun.

I have a Capristo 3 and it is just a great exhaust. Relatively quiet, but everytime the valve opens .... I've got a smile all over my face.
The best € I spent on my car. I think I'll also buy the Capristo remote controlled valve.

One more for Cap 3. With Hyperflow cats it really wakes up. Kinda sounds like a tiger/panther lovechild getting burned alive.

Honestly its not that bad at all. I'm running the stage 3 cap with stock headers and cats (which I intend to change after this winter storage/early next year). And its not unbearable or anything, it is loud but not like "oh my ears are bleeding" loud, except in tunnels...now that's a different story with you foot on the throttle lol. The f1 scream is phenomenal. But like the guys are saying, its a matter of choice, probably best to hear them live if possible, Tubi vs Capristo vs others if you can. Best of luck.
