When I did my cats I found my RH inner boot destroyed. I have the parts. I did the search thing but am still unclear as to how to replace that sucker. One post said something about the Cat having to come out. The outer boot looks OK. So if I could get some advice on the R&R of the boot I would be grateful!!

I was able to R&R my passenger inner without removing any exhaust components. I will admit it took quite some time to wiggle it free but it came. Going back together was easier them removing, go figure.

There is a clip that holds everything together, don't let it fly off and get lost (unless you have a replacement at hand). Other than that it's pretty straight forward.

Well that's good news. So tell me if I'm the right track. I remove all the bolts around the cv joint. Does the clip keep the axle in the tranny? I assume the axle is splinned into the tranny? I was going to get dirty but I ran out of daylight. My little garage is too damn small.Just a poor guy with a Ferrari.

The clip holds the CV on the axle shaft. You need to remove it so you replace the boot.

The 6 bolts hold the cv to the gearbox output, no splines or clips.
