    Very very funny.

You can have NZ mate, including the national debt, leaky homes and the Treaty of Waitangi.

Being under Assue rule couldn't be that bad???

And which team was the only team in the last soccer world cup to not loose a game ... the All Whites :D

But this world cup has been so much better than any soccer world cup from where I sit. I've watched all the games since we reached the knock out rounds ... never watched all the soccer games, too boring.

What happened to winning graciously? That's not really needed as much as we all want to beat the Aussies. ;)

Congrats NZ. Closer than I thought.

Why did they take Piri Weepu out? Poor kicking? Fatigue?

haha, I never liked playing the game for Lindfield or the RAAF, silly game where you get injured by socially irresponsible psychopaths.

League not much better, I sucked at that as well, so you must be right :)

The all blacks deserved to win the cup but not the final..

However, everyone I know who went as come back universally condemning the way they "greeted" by the locals.

yes, a French or Australian visitor would have worked hard to keep a smile on their face while being relentlessly taunted by the local morons. But that's Auckland for you.

In part its the end result of 50 years of declining living standards relative to the rest of the developed world. NZ politicians and media have become expert at blaming everyone else for their problems. In the 1950's, NZ per capita GDP was the highest in the world, followed by Argentina and Switzerland, Australia a little way behind. The EU common market ended that while Australia became rich on mining (with apologies for vast generalisation).

I'm happy they won. Entire streets are still sharing one portaloo in Christchurch...
