On a thread just a little while ago, I believe a reference was made to some differences (minor) within the Euro Spec car community depending on the European country of export. I believe the thread cited some differences with Swiss cars, but I am not completely sure, nor can I even remember what the differences were.

I've just seen a 328 Euro import from Germany and I'm wondering if there would be any notworthy differences a German import would show against another European county's export?

I am aware of the general differences between Euro 328's and North American 328's, just now I'm splitting hairs on the differences among Euro's.

Is there any information available on this?

Don't German cars have the little screens inside the air intakes and cause Citroens to immediately lose all of their radiator fluid?

I think on the Swiss cars the spoiler was body color.

It's mostly lamp and lens differences by the 328.

The Swiss cars had tougher SOUND ratings for drive by testing, so insulation in the airbox and other mods like that.

As noted German cars had bird screens at the door scoops, not sure if 308 or 328 or 'both'.

You're right...there were "bird screens" in the door scoops on this one.

Also, to confirm your suggestion on mostly lamp and lens differences, I noticed a different shaped front side reflector located behind the front wheel, but prior to the door, in the shape of a round button with a small raised bump on it. I've never seen these before, nor have I seen them in that location before.

Yes...thanks!...that was it! I guess my memory is just failing me, or I'm simply trying to absorb too much information too soon.

If this is the same dark grey foam as on UK cars, on the firewall then yes. I have some on order from a supplier and can supply details once I have checked it is OK.
Is this insulation foam not used on USA cars at all?

My 328 was originally sold in Greece and the Greek market cars were essentially same as Italian. Functioning front fog lights were an option in Southern Europe. The lights themselves and the wiring were there but there was a blanking plate on the center console where the switch is. Rear spoiler was also an option. My car also has the air intake meshes in the side scoops.

Did Italian market QVs have "bird screens" in the side scoops and/or rear fog lamps?

UK market 308s had two rear fog lamps mounted to the underside of the bumper. My Jersey-delivered Euro QV has the two rear fog lamps, speedometer in miles per hr instead of km/h like the UK cars, but is LHD.

Do you know who dealer sold new your car ?

There was FERRARI dealer in Greece in 1988 ? If your car was supply via Germany, this could be explain intake meshes. As I beleive, only German car had it

I don't think this would have been from the start of production. Current testing requirements are for rear fogs for any vehicle produced after April 1980. I don't know when UK 3x8s first started shipping with rear fogs installed as OEM.

Swiss cars, like mine, have different ratios in the tranny.

My 85 QV, originally Italian delivered has the mesh in the scoops. I have an 84 QV being delivered on Monday, will check that. I believe the panel over the fuse box is different on both. One with velcro to fasten, one with clips.

Thank you! Do you have a rear fog lamp and switch next to hand brake?

The clips were added late in the 84 production - my 84 was produced in the last week before the 85 production started, and has the fuse box clips.

Mine has the switch, and a single rear fog. I'm not sure of the original delivery country, only pretty sure it's not UK, France, Germany or Switzerland because of all these little differences.
