They may have gone too far with the Carbon fibre mats! Really cool tech!! An exclusive world-first technology patented by Ferrari has made it possible to make mats in real carbon fibre for the footwell. A special clear-coat finish maintains the original appearance of the surface while offering an effective anti-slip action for the shoe. This paint must not be treated with oil or silicone based products The fastener buttons have an aluminium cap screen printed with the Prancing Horse emblem against a black background, while the driver side mat also bears the logo of the vehicle itself in a laser-cut thin sheet of steel. The mats are edged in leather, with exquisite stitching in different tones of grey, while the backing is in genuine leather, which ensures superior flexibility and resilience and offers a high quality feel. The mat fastener button, with Cavallino emblem screen-printed on an aluminium backgroud, may be ordered separately for use with a standard mat.
I just picked up a pair a week ago. I would suggest that you let them air out for a few weeks as they have a strong smell to them. The smell is similar to gasoline. Once they sat out the smell is gone. I have not put them in my car yet. They are very cool looking. I will try to take a picture next week when I get back in town.
A google search brought this up http://www.lfsc.com/prodimages/large/image_209.jpg Looks like how you described it, not sure though.
looks very cool especially when you have carbon interior. It's cool. I have them on my California and 458 but they aren't durable. Dirt shows up easily.
I've seen the ones for the 458 at my dealership. Cost is about $700 USD here. They same look as the ones for the california that Hakan458 posted.
I got both 458's carbon matts together with California Carbon Matts. They do wear off and doesn't trap dirt. Anyway, does anyone know anyone doing specialized seat covers if I do want to change it up a little? I have no idea but suddenly occur to me that maybe someone does custom fun covers. Maybe not a good idea. Not sure. Inputs welcome. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's the pdf regarding the matts for the California from the Ferrari website Image Unavailable, Please Login
Caveats, 3 pictures tell 2000 words, it goes well with carbon interior but look at the dirt buildup. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Calitalia - agreed they look fantastic with CF interior - quite a few dirt and scuff marks though. Are they easy to clean? Presumably a wipe down?
Experience on California's set (which I used for 6 months) and my 458's which are 2 weeks old. It's cool looking, it's made in Italy and original and perfect fit but it's anti slip. The coating on top is sticky so dirt gets stuck on. Not so easy to clean. Use a vacuum. However, my California's coating were worn on my side as I drive it daily and I wear suit and leather shoes and the heel rubs against the coating and it will get worn out. Overall, quite happy. Carbon interior's car should get it.
