LOL . It looks like our Taz left us here and is gone there. Maybe I should follow him as this website is much better to archive DIY and KB articles
Pages 4.27 and 4.28 of the Owner's Manual gives the emergency start-up procedure. It certainly appears to be okay to use an auxiliary battery.
roadside tried...but no luck. the car would get lights...I saw the radio needed the code it the car would just click. he tried 5 or 6 times to get a better charge connection, but I told him to stop as I did not want to damage anything. The clicking (not turning over) was making me nervous. It clicked once or twice each time....
The roadside is coming out again and they said they will try to provide more juice through some access panel by the drivers seat...along with a jump box on the battery...is this safe? They said they do this to a lot of Ferrari's and not to be concerned. Is this ok? they are coming right now... On a side note, it looks like the interior light was left on which seems to have drained the battery... Urgent replies requested as they will be here in the next 10 minutes...
ok, so here is the update. Car was jumped with jump box on battery and also using the postive charge in the access panel behind the Driver seat. This instruction came from the service manager at Continental. I was driving and after a couple miles I was at a red light and put the car in neutral on my F1. The problem is it would not engage back into 1st. I tried switing the modes, hitting auto, even R, but it would not get into gear. I called the tow company and luckily they had just left and I was stuck in the middle of the road. The car has been towed to the dealership. When the car was on the bed of the truck, it finally did engage into 1st. Anyway...any thoughts.....
in my F430 I left accessories on and drained battery.. the night before track event. So I was late in the morning waiting for it to charge up. I have a battery charger that worked great! I use it on all my cars.. it seems batteries dying is a common thing if you have several cars, don't drive them much or you are forgetful like me lol. Your current issue I wonder if u haven't had enough of a charge.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Spoke to the service manager...he said I should not have driven, need to keep it running. It is going to have the batterey etc checked out and I will know more on tomorrow.
Sorry to hear...it takes the fun out of your new purchase! I hope the battery problem will be resolved soon. Will
