How do you access the brake lights on a 328 to change a bulb? I got the access pannel off, but not sure how the bulbs come out & I dont want to break anything??? Do they pop out? or is there a trick to getting the backing part off?

Not sure if they are exactly the same as a 308QV but the bulb holder(bracket) simply clicks into place. The bulb is then held in place via a spring socket that's part of the bracket.

The bulb holder clips into the rear of the housing. Be careful to avoid breaking the plastic clips. The bulb is retained by a spring-loaded socket with pins on the bulb...just press and rotate CCW to remove.

Changing a bulb is the easy part. Harder to get at them. There are covers over the back by the bulbs that need to come out first. These are covered with carpet that needs to be pulled back.

See the picture of the steel straps??

You VERY gently push the plastic tab of the housing JUST far enough to free up one end of that steel bracket, then once loose changing the lamp is no problem.

Those steel brackets are nested into the back of the one piece lens/housing.
