I wanted to gather some input on where the best place to advertise a 348 might be. My 348 Speciale is for sale. At present I only have it listed on cars.com but have also advertised it here and on ebay in the past. Thus far I haven't had much interest. Today I got a call from someone at DuPont Auto Registry soliciting their services. Does anyone have any recommendation on whether that might be worth a look? Where in your opinion is the best place to advertise a private party Ferrari? Thanks for your thoughts.

Just my 2 cents, but my impression of Dupont Registry is that most, not all but most, of the cars are overpriced and it tends to put off potential buyers of more common cars. I remember looking there and laughing at the asking prices of fairly pedestrian models. I think it would be a great place to advertise a very expensive or rare automobile but, again, that's just my impression. I would go there to look for an F40 or a 275 GTB. Maybe one day :)

Than again, as we say in the music industry, any exposure is good exposure!

BTW, I think you're in a great place to advertise a good car!

Edit: So, I just looked at the asking prices on cars.com, and they are as high or higher...hey, I hope they get 'em!!

Fchat, Craigslist, Autotrader and ebay are best. If you aren't getting responses, you're priced too high. Simple as that. Your car may be very nice, but in the Ferrari world, that just means it'll sell without problems, but again, only if you price it right. Yes, you'll have to deal with a lot of people who are shopping for one, but remember that's a good thing. If you're too high, nobody will want to negotiate with you. Everybody's a tire-kicker until they see the nicest car for the price. The Robb Report or DuPont Registry won't sell a 348 IMO.

Those are all of the places I kept an eye on when looking for a car. I did not look at Robb Report, DuPont or Hemmings as those are typically higher end or just higher priced cars. If you can, wait until spring to sell and buy in the fall.

Agree, unfortunately. The model is not glitzy enough for these rags. Still if you can pull it off, more power to you, but I would not risk the cost of listing with them.

This is not a good time to sell your car unless you absolutely have too and you are ready to take a beat ... as simple as that. I have been trying to sell my 348TS for the last 6 months and received only offers in the 30's, some high 30's, I decided to wait.
