Hey guys, I posted this question up in the general discussion forum, but decided to post here to hopefully get a response from the locals.

I am in the market for my first FCar and would like to take a look at a few up close. I have my heart set on a 328 or a 348, but am still doing my homework on them...I mean, I haven't even sat in one. You can only learn so much by reading online and looking at photos.

Are there any dealerships or showrooms that have these on display?

I know they show up and Cars and Coffee, I missed this last one but I think I will go next weekend. I hope I can talk and meet some of you guys out there.

Only you can decide which one you prefer for looks and seating position. Beyond that, its really no contest-the 328 is superior in all other aspects(except, perhaps a bit of straight line speed).

I'm in Huntington Beach and have a 348 spider and Mondial Cabrio 3.2. Your more than welcome to come have a look/take a ride. Don't have any experience with the 328 although I believe the Mondial shares the 328 motor.....Lou

That would be great, Lou! I am leaning towards a 348, it would be nice to take a closer look at one. Im in HB (Bella Terra area) several times a week, hopefully we can meet up sometime soon. Are weekdays or weekends better for you?

Thanks, Mike...I sent you back a PM!

Will be out of town until Thursday. Bella Terra is only 10 mins away. Can meet you there either Thursday or Monday. Here's a pic of the cars. My friend brought some JAL (Japan Air Lines) flight attendants over the other day. Took them for a ride.....

    Hope you like yellow.

Nothing against the 348 but the classic styling of the 328 is timeless.

    From my experience with my 328, I've had " 0 " issues.

The 328s seem to be holding on pricing, which would allow you to move into a different model as you get more involved with an F-Car.

Regardless of which model you choose, get a PPI from a reputable shop and allow yourself a " repair " budget in your projections.

Quite a bit of knowledge and opinions in this forum.

    Good luck !

Either one will be rarer than the 1000s (ok exaggerating) of 360s and 430s running about. Hell I see more Teslas than I do 328 or 348s on the road.

I honestly love the styling of both...one reason I want to give both a good look over in person to see which one suits me better.

I found more 308 than 328 Ferraris around...how do those compare to each other?

The 328 is a bit more refined than the 308, even thought the 308 has very nice clean lines, primarily due to the bumpers.

A documented 308 would be a good choice, and there are good deals out there.

I've said this before " if I had to keep only one of my Ferraris, it would be the 328 ".

The 308 / 328 s are an excellent entry level car that you will enjoy for a very long time !

I got up close and personal with a 308 last night (Thanks Mike!), and learned a lot. If I do go with the earlier model Fcar, it will probably be the 308.

I've owned both. The 348 is faster, considerably, and a lot more expensive to fix. I've owned three 328's and I still say its the best car they ever made. All my 328's have run like tractors and will well past 100k miles. I can't say that about the 348.

    This opens a timeless debate...

I reckon I'll have to come by and check them out sometime soon!

In other news, I found myself in the area this afternoon and stopped by DC Motors...no 308 or 348...but there was a Red Testarossa...what a beautiful car.

We just have one of each, then about 10 or so 360's and 430's.

Feel free to stop by whenever you get a chance!

Testarossa was my first TR. I was worried a little about the up keep but fortunate for me she is affordable. After 20K miles of fun in 5 years, she is a dream to drive. I also don't mind owning 308 or 328.

I owned a 1986 328 and have no major problems with it and I drove it all the time. Never owned a 348 but heard there can be problems compared to a 328. You may want to check both to compare the cost for service. For some unknown reason, prices on the 328 have not dropped like other Ferraris. Good entry car.
