I have a complete set if anyones interested. I have two sets of drive pullies for the setup. The earliest 308's used internally lubricated drive bearings, then in late 77, or early 78, they went to a sealed drive bearing. The two types use a different drive pulley. The later style is used up through the 2V injected cars.

These are 30 yr. old cars and the belts work fine and changing them is just a couple of hours and $60. My question is why fix what isn't broke! I will agree they look nice if that is what you are after. I'm just sayin. lost

The timing belt system Ferrari used on the 308 was antiquated before it hit the streets in 1976, Hondas had a more modern belt, it took Ferrari until the mid 80's to get current. The belts shear teeth, you can argue until the cows come home about all the reasons, or the other reasons (idler bearing failure, drive bearing failure) but the belt is still weak. Its possible Ferrari used it for some performance advantage, and suggesting a 30K mile limit got them past its short life. But the US EPA 50/50 emissions warrantee pushed them right to the edge of endurance.

I bought the system because I believed the better belt, at more than 3 times the physical strength, would guarantee the motor would make 50K miles without grenading the engine. I still believe that. If I still had a car I would keep it.

    Paul!! We missed you!!

This is a better system, but I just could not justify the huge amount cost of the thing (odd considering what I am blowing on the 3.4L project right) and I can't imagine with this engine I won't be very regular with my belt changes anyway. The components are certainly top notch though. Eons better than stock.

I have what may be the only 3.2 set. The lower pieces are different. I had to find a spare, and ship it to him so that he could match it.

I haven't put it on yet.

Have a new set of gears I have been wanting to install for a while, but they did not come with belts. Couldn't find any where the belt part number was mentioned.
