Guys I'm looking for an f355 Ferrari not a spider and with the old fashion6 speed manual. In red. my question is are there any years I need to stay away from. Should I make sure the valve guides were done new headers etc .or is it hit or miss that valve guides went and when they went they go early in a cars life...what I'm starting to understand is that this could be luck that you get a good car I have a good garage close by but obviously they won't be able to do the ppi for me Thanks guys
All years are good. 95 is simpler and less prone to CEL. >97 likely has better valve guides. If the leak down numbers are good, why worry about the valve guides? If there are no signs of header leaks (sounds, fiber in the engine bay) why worry about them? Good to avoid the finicky spider top.
