I think you're on to something there... but perhaps it's a Jaguar XJR-15?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

And we have a winner!! Well done.

An Aston employee rubbished the car while delivering it to the Quantum of S. shoot. He was not hurt in the single car accident, although I don't know what his boss did to him when he got back to England.

I'm sort of shy about admitting that I know what it is....

    An Invacar 70.

So, does that date me or what???

Hmmm... rounded posterior, I think. Something sporty.

Not a TVR or an Eagle Speedster. I'm thinking original E-type, but I don't remember that having a handle back there.

That's still my best guess though.... Jaguar E-type.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I have an aluminum bodied Tempero XKSS, so that's why I'm so familiar with the rear ends :)

Since Tempero is not "british built" I'd say Lynx.

And you, Sir, are correct! It is the rear suspension that gives it away.

Your XKSS looks great, I must say.

I took the shot of the suspension cage in ‘80 when my Lynx was being built and the other two over the years as it wound its way about Europe and the U.S.
