If you own a 458, you really need to update your profile. The VIN (ZFFZR49B000112891) belonged to a wrecked 550.

Their products are not made in Taiwan. They are made right in their shop In PA. I have their cats and headers on my car and I have been there a bunch of times and actually watched them making parts. Pretty cool process too! Very happy with their products and service. And no I don't work for them!

    Wait a minute.

Did you call Fabspeed and report this?

You do understand that doing this without consent from them will void the warranty.

I have installed Fabspeed headers, cats, mufflers. Many times with no issue.

So who did you report it to? I have had problems with fitting factory parts. I always stop and wait on replacement.

I assume this was your car. I would never modify this on a customers car.

Did you put a true straight edge on the flange?

    My goodness!!

Ya know..there use to be a time when made in the U.S.A mattered. It ment quality, and the product would last forever without issue. Companies like Packard, Deusenburg, Cadillac (when it was its own company) Zeineth, Poloroid, etc..They all built a great and reliable top-line world beating products.

Things changed. There was a time when ANYTHING made in the U.S.A was considered pure JUNK, and most times its was. Hell The N.A car builders are STILL trying to live down that stigma.
Meanwhile Toyota, Honda, Nissan etc, are building wold renowned cars for reliability, saftey, fuel consumption, and build quality etc.

I get the fact that they have seemed to claim their product has been made in the U.S.A when maybe it is not, that is more a legal issue then a quality issue.

Whos the maker of your t.v??, Your coffee maker, BlueRay player, etc? Are they made in the USA?? I doubt it. Are they not a good product? Would you buy a Zeinth t.v. if they were still around? What about your Nikes?? Do you know where they are made??

All this thread shows me is the fact that many on this site only care when sombody makes a stink about something. Fabspeed has MANY positve threads on this site, people VERY happy with the product and its performance..In the end thats all that matters. You got a good product for a lot less money then the others, and are happy.

Fab speed may have a legal issue here regarding the country of origin, but they sure don't seem to have a poor reputation for the end product they deliver.

This web site makes me sick with the band wagon jumping. I bet if the first reaponse to the OP was "yea...so what??" this thread would be completly different, and more then likely would have faded out with less then a page of responses. You guy feed off of each other like nothing I have ever seen. Your like a bunch of girls.

Deal with the LEGAL asspect..don't knock the product because it seems very good. Most of you in this thread don't even own any of thier products so how could you possiably comment?

Yes my spelling sucks...that because my spell checker was made in the USA..ya'll...

The products from Fabspeed are good. They are good quality but I can't, of course, vouch for where they are made or what percentage of the parts are made where. The steel could be from anywhere but I haven't seen any problems in my products, or my friends who have installed their products. They are also one of the few companies openly sharing real dyno results of virtually all their mods before and after. As far as I have been interested in their products, they have always advertised their cats being made in Germany, but most of the claims for other products made in the USA. The only negative thing I have heard of their PRODUCTS is that they have advertised their HFCs as not triggering CELs on some vehicles, yet in some cases they actually have triggered CELs in contrast to claims. In those cases they have sent O2 extenders out (but I'm not sure if they charged for them-which would be inappropriate; in fact, I think they should be provided with all HFCs should the owner choose to install them). Their pricing is very good for everything except those O2 sensors which should be had for $20 (and can be found online for that price and made of quality steel) rather than the $150 they ask. Regardless, you would be hard pressed to find a customer not satisfied with the quality or performance of Fabspeed products despite the possible misleading statements on place of manufacture.

  17. The 12mm nuts are for the headers and the 13mm flanged nuts are for the cat connections. I hope you got this straighten out. As for the one hole not lining up, thats very rare but it does happen. You should have called us and talked to the sales person you dealt with about the problem.

this thread seems to have gotten out of control .there have been some issues with the headers .a few threads have been posted about such but overall the number of complaints seem to be low. and most seem to be with installation not with product failures

there are not many options for reasonably priced headers .so either we are going to have to pay an outrageous price for superb quality or except fabspeed overpriced Taiwan headers or buy directly from Taiwan and take a chance that we got a good set this time

overall I think buying these fabspeed Taiwan headers are a better option than buying factory .

now we know . it would be nice if fabspeed reduce the price to something more reasonable even factoring in the warranty I think 1500 would be fair. you never know they may be in to sell more

SfefVan, Joe has responded in the other thread. Maybe not 100% answer everyone has been looking for, but best response we've seen yet.

Since you have access to shipping records and the other stuff, will you please run those on Capristo, Tubi, etc.

Are all the parts made from start to finish, or is just the final product assembled and quality checked in Germany? Where does the steel / aluminum come from?

None of those companies claim that their product is Made in the USA, in fact, some prefer to advertise that it isn't made here.

the issue isn't quality. The issue is truth in advertising. Anyone who thinks a post made here by a representative of any sponsor should be considered anything OTHER than advertising is delusional.

so, posts made here, by employees of Fabspeed that state their product is Made in the USA are misleading, and perhaps an FTC violation. That's not for me to decide, but certainly the posts left us ALL with the impression that no foreign parts were included in the manufacture of these items, which clearly is not the case.

The rest is just noise. this is the issue at hand, and the one that should be getting addressed. Some of these posts are on point, some are not.

As to bandwagon hopping, eh. That's what people do. Pretty tough to fight human nature.
