I own a 2010 ML and from day one i knew they were assembled in Alabama. It doesn't change the fact that its a overall great suv. I do believe the early models had many issues though. The fact is i was never in the dark about the location it was made in, it was clearly stated to me when i was looking to buy it.

I really loved the high flow cats and straight pipes I bought for my 997 turbo. What I really want to know is how good of a deal they would give me on a set of the xpipes for my new scuderia!?

I think it has been established by many that have Fabspeed parts that they like them or are good quality or they don't care where they are made.

The real issue here is the marketing of the products Made in the USA. It is deceptive to the consumer. I do not have any Fabspeed products but it seems many don't understand the issue here. It isn't whether or not their parts are made in Taiwan or Timbucktoo, it is the advertising of the products Made in the USA if they are not.

agreed 100%, but.........I can understand how a certain percentage of consumers have an issue with a manufacturer claiming 100% made in the US when in fact it is not (and I haven't followed this thread in enough detail to claim either/or in the case of Fabspeed). Let's face it, if you are selling an identical product with all else (quality/service/price, ect.) being equal and you label one of them as 100% US made and another US made with parts from China/Taiwan its a given which one will sell better.

Agreed ,if asked, or implied disclosure is Important! If stated made in USA or any other part of the World it better be Correct, otherwise that is deception. No one here has said quality suffers if it is made elsewhere, but if stated it had better be correct!

Why do you keep asking about this when you already know the answer?

    Its on their boxes.

More importantly to us (because I'm not the FTC and don't care about the legal aspects) ITS ON OUR SITE IN THEIR VERY OWN WORDS when they attempted to sell/market to us as a community member and sponsor.

You know those links and quotes from them have been posted several times in the this thread and the other current thread on this topic.

You must have read them several times (unless you post in these threads without bothering to read/understand the issue...which based on the repeated asking of questions that have already been answered may well be the case).

I have read the quotes from employees, but I have never seen a quote from the owner stating Made In The USA. I have seen someone "bait" and harass a Fabspeed employee with answers he already knew. When Fabspeed posted the special, did it say hey Fchat Community, we are having a special on our F430 headers that are 100% completely MADE IN THE USA, or did they just mention they are having a special, and the USA stuff came up later after being harassed?

About the box issue, what is USA, the box, or the product in the box? So when you make the decision to buy a Fabspeed product, you look at the feedback from other owner's ask questions, then look at their website and then order.

People that have bought from them would have to answer, were you told, or do you have an email from them that their headers for example are "MADE IN THE USA?" Then when you get the box you feel better?

I agree when you go to their website, especially since there is a big USA over towards the right that USA design, and production could be implied. Would this make a difference to me in a purchase decision, absolutely not, owner feedback is what I would use to make the most educated decision I could.

I have mostly seen good feedback and customer service faq about Fabspeed from this site. Heck, Trev runs Fabspeed headers on his 360. He also has Kinetix Racing cats and Timate exhaust. Haven't heard about any issues with his car?

I think more people are upset about how much profit they think Fabspeed is making, then the overall quality of their product, and or their customer service. Wonder what Ferrari is making on their headers if anyone ever has had to replace them?

We know what they are making on tire pressure sensors. LOL

Disagree. I think people are upset about false advertising.

Personally I'm not upset. I'm just *annoyed* with the politician double talk.

Like I said it doesn't make a difference to me where it is made just say it.. I am fine with my Fabspeed exhaust

You may not have read all of them then, including the ones I posted. The quotes are from May and August. Not from the thread wherein you say they were "baited". Fabspeed has been questioned on this matter of where their headers come from for years on this and other sites. They have either been evasive and cute with their remarks or just said the the 100% USA or all USA except Germany comments that you have seen posted multiple times (again not when baited, but when asked straightforward questions and months ago).

You well know the issue isn't one of where the products are actually made/assembed or in what proportions. Nor is it an issue of quality (real or perceived). Nor is it a question of what do other vendors say/do. Nor is it a question of profit margins.

Its simply us calling them out for lying to us in our forum. Period.

You have been told this many times but refuse to understand and keep posting red herrings and OT to dilute that message. I have no idea why. But can only assume you enjoy messing with folks.

I am not trying to mess with anyone. Most people on this site are pretty nice, as am I. Just answered 3 pm's from prospective owners, and owners, and even remembered to take the time to go downstairs and measure my 360 from mirror to mirror for another prospective buyer when no one else would.

So again, you know what is going on, so what are you going to do about it? People keep hoping that Fabspeed will do as they ask, but they won't. So what are you / we going to do about it? Is Agency Power going to come clean also? What are you / we going to do about that? If it upsets you enough "being misled" the biggest punishment I can see is to just not buy from them? But to keep hoping every day by filling up this thread with more frustrated posts that Fabspeed will make a post in with the perfect/correct disclosure on the header issue, I just don't see that happening.

I just think we move on, and discuss more relavant issues, like preparing our cars for winter, or hear about the great weather still in Arizona or California and how much fun owners are having enjoying their cars, with or without aftermarket headers. :)

mattyrae - here I am "picking" on you again. The reason I seem to have to, is because you seem to be in more than your fair share of controversies.

Here are the top user post counts on this thread and the other Fabspeed thread.

Between the two threads you are by far and away the most vocal poster. It's not just that you have an opinion. Most people have a point to make, make it, then move on. You've taken it on yourself not only to be an advocate, but to respond to almost every post personally. However, you haven't made 54 different points, you've made the same points 54 times. That is what users are objecting to.

No different to what I am objecting to. People are upset about this, ok, they have a right to be, but then what?

Maybe it's time to close the thread then because the same points are being made by different users, and much more than 54 times.

I was not aware that there is a limit to how many times someone could post in a certain thread?

If people don't want to move forward, and move on, so be it.

The same points are being made multiple times by different users means a general consensus. When you post the same point 54+ times just means "you're annoying."

There is no limit on how many times you can post on a certain thread but you're definitely abusing it.

Asking Fabspeed 54+ times to come clean, but guess what nothing happens, and that is not annoying? Especially after the owner made a post that was not what everyone or the general consensus was looking for. Maybe more posts by more users will affect a change?

Well I think by simply from the lack of definitive answers from Fabspeed, that we can all figure out what those answers actually are ....
