Yeah, Bradan has got a hit with these. I love seeing the different cars coming into service and being worked on.
This is my first engine out service and it is nifty being able to view your car being worked on and following the threads, as Bradan rocks. It was coming up on the 5 year mark since the last engine out service was done by the previous owner. Good timing on my behalf, as it was found that those infamous Ferrari OEM headers of mine went belly up. I'm glad this was caught in time based on the result of the compression check. It was an easy quick decision to go the Fabspeed ceramic coated route.
Definitely a thread-follower. The next (and my first) major isn't for another couple years, but being an engineer I love reading about and seeing these things "first" hand. Knowledge is power, and I'd like to know what to expect and what I will be getting into.
I'm coming up on my first myself. Looking forward to living vicariously through you. I'm very curious as to what those headers will look like. Good luck. Can you Pm me with quote on your service? GREAT THREAD!
This F355 was diagnosed with cracked manifolds when it first arrived. They will be replaced with new Fabspeed headers. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

What does something like this go for? Assuming headers are new and there is no need for paint correction??
Normally it would cost $5,395 for a F355 major service. They are discounted 10% for the month of November which comes to $4,855. The only additional thing I really recommend doing during a major service is rebuilding the water pump regardless if its condition. Paint correction is a complementary service.
Geez, if you asked me, that looks like it's already done. Pretty clean and that AC belt looks brand new.
That's what I did. So far so good. My alternator shield is not the best, would like a little better design.
Who is doing the water pump rebuild? The guy that did mine was very good. Very affordable and first class workmanship. I had it installed and running before he even asked for payment.
We found all the bushings to be dried out and starting to fall apart. A full replacement kit was sourced from superformance. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
