Hey Guys Finishing up the install of the GCK... only thing left is the 4 engine ground washers... then clean up, put stuff back... connect the battery and fire it up!! woohoo!! Question - where are the engine ground locations on the back of the 1-4 head? A quick pic from anyone would help... Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login
The engine ground is located on the back side of the right cylinder head. Near the top, not far from the throttle position potentiometer location. You will find a stud, with a wire with a crimped on ring mount...this is held to the stud with a nut and washer. What I would recommend, is cut the old ring mount off. Crimp a new one on, after cleaning and brushing the copper wire, just like you did with the other connections you renewed. I also used a small piece of heat shrink tubing to seal the back side of the crimp, then a small dab of silicone sealant on the front side of the crimp...again just to seal out dirt and moisture. Then attach it to the stud....all done.
