    Hi

Just wondering, has anyone else seen these pics of XX #3? Looks like a new splitter with side flaps and rear wing have been added, along with somewhat new rims(?) Also if you look behind the front wheel vents theres a "new" silver coloured part. Does anyone know anything more about this, looks like its Amadeo Felisia whos introducing it. Pics where taken at the recent Finali Mondali at Mugello. :) Any info would be greatly appreciated as I'm a massive fan of the Corse Clienti! :D

Does that mean we may get to see plans for a P4/5C Evo in the near future? ;)

That new silver colored part starts just behind the front wheels. It may be there to aid in brake dust dispersal, or Ferrari is testing a way of accelerating airflow to the rear wing to create more downforce.
...or there may be mini exhaust tips behind the front wheel, which would just be interesting to see.

My guess would be since I can not see any exhaust out the back, the exhaust probably exhits by the silver, most likely stainless, plates.

The silver plates behind the front wheels are the exhausts

    Real aero evolution

Look at the front splitter too

    Rear wing has some tricks!

    Other changes you can't see!!

Doesn't that thing look bad a$$!!!! What a machine!! I was blown away seeing the sketches but in the flesh it looks even more impressive.

Peter ... it's got active aero, right?

A rear WING in a 599XX is very unusual thing. But we are talking about the EVO version so... Ok. Like..!

Thanks for posting. That new car looks crazy! I can't tell for sure but it looks like they've rerouted the exhaust as well.

Yes. IMO we'll see more and more active aero on road cars.

    The 458 has it already.

Unlike in race cars where it's illegal there are a lot of advantages to active aero.

We're trying to develop DRS for P 4/5 CM that would be race legal. Not easy to do.

Im assuming you can't do a split element wing(so essentially a wing per side) that has a GPS module to control angle of each side according to each turn?

That Evo looks mean, such a giant looking wing but im assuming its purely function over form at this stage of the 599

Nothing can move. No movable aero devices. Includes flexing body parts. No driver controllable devices.

Are you able to add additional elements to a wing, depending on a track, I'm assuming you are allowed to change the rake of a wing as long its fixed during the race? Or like the F1 cars in the past add a small wing mid way on the car on each side that either side can be removed depending on the tracks configuration or need? Or does the car have to be a certain way from the beginning to the end of a season?

Sorry for all the questions, I find it interesting that all these different series and governing bodies have different rules. I was thinking of implementing a dual element motorized wing on one of my race cars but doubt its legal in my class and conference.

You can adjust the wing in the pits but not while underway with a move able aero device.

Sorry to contradict! Remember the first wing on the 1968 312 F1 car - a much more sophisticated version
