    10 people? Pay Karl his money and move that party to Denny's where it belongs! One of
    those $250 investment coupons should cover the whole bit!

    I don't know if you all are kidding about the party but if it is real I sure hope someone here actually goes, videos and reports back to us!

    I can only assume the party is real since 73 people responded to the invite.

    72 freeloaders, and one potential customer. It would have been 74 total, but the woman on the beach left in disgust.

    64 said they weren't coming; only 9 potential, err, clients have confirmed according to gil308's post.

    What if you invest a penny? He needs to be making some serious interest fast if he wants to collect a tangible .8% on that. When it grows to 12,500% of the original amount, he could collect his first whole penny, otherwise he's gonna have to split a penny into fractions, and the government doesn't like modified money. :)

    According to the eVite:

    With Pleasure = 10
    Perhaps = 1
    Regrets = 66
    Not Yet Replied = 675

    Yes, 675 no replies!

    I was commenting that at the time, 73 people responded...most saying no. But I assumed if 73 people were invited, Kevin would have to make it a nice party...that's before I saw that 752 people (including Kevin) were invited. What if everyone said yes????? That would have cost him A LOT...and if he can't pay Karl, how would he pay the venue for this expense?????

    ...and of the 10 people who responded "With Pleasure": 1 is Kevin, the host; 3 are bringing one guest, probably significant other. SOOOOO, in reality, 6 people said they would go to the event...less than 0.8% (0.007989) of those invited. Sounds like a great turnout. If I invited 751 other people to a party, and only 6 showed up...I would consider never throwing another party again.

    Doesn't he use Oompa Loompas as his process servers? Kind of takes the sting out of the threat.

    He's a modern day Willy Wanker and The Cheese-Whiz Factory type of maven.

    To those actually on the Evite thingamabobber, did anyone see if a Mr Anspach happened to be on the attendee list? He would make a GREAT business partner for Mr Hedges. Not kidding. Kevin, if you are watching this thread, you need him on your team. Seriously. You do the investing, let him be the face of the company.

    You must live in ****hole USA.. all the people I've met in Ferrari clubs.. Porsches.. have been great people.. we love cars, talk about drives. we rarely talk business and are very respectful. We are wary of those trying to join to solicit business..

    Those are car enthusiast clubs.. not "I have money to have this car.. club"

    I love your generalizations btw

    Good thing...otherwise I'd have to join the "I don't have money to have this car Club"

    I was just discussing this with a friend...he said he was warned "NOT to talk business" immediately when they learned his occupation at an FCA event..

    He is a stockbroker.

    WTF?

    Talking business (which is fun to me) and SOLICITING business (which is not) are two different things.

    Some guy was mining for insurance business at Cars and Coffee here, and was told to "knock it off"....

    I guess I have to order my Ben Silver tie then?
    I really wanted to see the store!

    I would join, but I can't afford the fee.

    As for the tie store, I'd never heard of it...must have passed by it a hundred times, but never paid attention. Guess I gotta go get one too... :)

    Did anyone make the

    HEDGES CHARLESTON JOHN'S ISLAND HORSE RACES this weekend?

    I think this year's future triple crown winner was there--Hedges in mount and rode it to victory.

    I wonder why the guy won't just come on here . . . hat in hand . . . and apologize. He is getting beaten about the head. Kinda like Tex Cobb--he impales his face on Muhammad Ali's fists.

    I agree with you, I like to talk business with my I.T. peers who I have known for years, there is a fine line tho, talking about a an upcoming buyout for a penny stock pharmaceutical company that will triple in the next month when you own most of the float is not really soliciting business but it's profiting off (or attempting to) if someone buys it and drives the price up. I have witnessed pump and dump situations many times. RUN!!!! :)
