Hi, need some help please!! We are starting to rebuild the suspension and brakes, but i have just found out that the front anti-roll bar previously fitted to the car is a full race version - i.e. very stiff and too rigid for normal road use. Does anyone know where i can locate an old, new or reproduced part to the same spec and torsion of the original? any help would be hugely appreciated. cheers Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login
They is a member of the www.Alfabb.com board that has a 275GTB that has replaced as many bushes as he can with rubber and finds the car far less nervous to drive and of course the bushes require less maintenance ... http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/401088-post61.html He, I believe, still tracks his 275GTB but IMO Ferrari over designed the suspension bushes trying to make it race car like. Mark, If there is one place in the world with the best cottage industry, I think you live in it! Unless you can find an original, I am certain you can have one made. Get in touch with Jim Stokes at (0) 2392 254488. Regards, Alberto
Success!!!!!!!! Steve Holdsworth the manager of the parts department at Joe Macari's worked his magic - he managed to find me an original anti-roll bar for the 275GTB, that had never been fitted and was lying around on a shelf of one of his contacts for 45 years!! It arrived yesterday in perfect condition - it is getting repainted and fitted shortly. THANKS STEVE awesome work! cheers Mark
That's a great result. I hope you're getting it at 1966 price? Car is looking great. Still panting for some engine / engineering updates though. No pressure!
Here's another nicely restored 275: Image Unavailable, Please Login http://www.anamera.com/en/editorial/article/news/ferrari-owners-club-of-great-britain-concours-at-heythrop-park/index.html?no_cache=1&tx_ttnews[pointer]=2&tx_ttnews[backPid]=226&cHash=745a8505b2 Gr. Martin
that is an awesome picture, very very sharp. That colour (or very similar) was originally my first choice, but i opted in the end to go back to the original Argento Silver. cheers Mark

Ooooh, it does worry me when I see what looks like copper pipe being used for brake pipes. Copper work hardens, but maybe this is some sort of copper alloy ... ? Pete
This is Grigio Mahmoud. None of the 275 GTB/4s were originally painted this color. 10835 was born Bianco Polo 20-W-152. Marcel Massini
Hi, picture 1 & 2 of the fuel filter before restoration, 1st fitted to the car in pretty poor looking condition, and 2nd on the bench prior to soda blasting and refurbishment. Picture 3 the filter has been soda blasted and is ready to be rebuilt and refurbished - amazing how well the blasting cleans away 46 year of corrosion and grim, the old part is as good as new! Picture 4 the filter has been painted and protected, a new filter fitted, new seals, joints etc.... Mark, A correction if I may. The fuel filter canister has been refurbished, but I believe the original finish was different. The exterior canister housing, as well as the top/mounting flange were all painted in a semi-gloss greenish gray color (except for the anodized identification tag) and there was a silkscreened FISPA label in yellow. There are decals or stickers available for the label as a facsimile to the silkscreen. Perhaps others can confirm. Chris
The Fispa bowl seems to be very effective. In a few decades the bowl will fill up with mud! The sad thing is that very few owners seem to be aware that most Italian cars carry this type of bowl and I've seen many cases, where rough idle has lead into massive carb and distributor adjustment or even rebuild, when all that would have been needed was replacing the cartridge that costs 5 dollars and can easily be changed in 15 minutes! Best wishes, Kare
Hi Chris, this is great information thank you. I will endeavor to get the correct finish. Does anyone have a picture of a filter with the correct colour applied, or a colour code for a very similar paint finish? many thanks Mark
Hi Kare, good info thanks. It certainly is nicely tucked away, even more out of sight once the transaxel is back in place. cheers Mark
Hi Mark: Not sure about the color code. p.s. car is looking great! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
