Have room for 2 more cars with passengers (4 more people). Wolf Mountain is busy so we are capped at 20 for lunch. Please rsvp to me at [email protected] to hold your spot. Corvette club is going to be there as well.

I'm going, probably with young Kevin riding shotgun and shooting video. I plan to swing on by AMP after lunch, and anyone else is welcome to join me. Then, after dropping Kevin off at Starbucks I'll probably head on down to Keso for our monthly gathering.

Just got an email from our last pair of attendees. Anyone can join in on the drive, but I'm afraid lunch is full. Wolf Mountain could only take 20 and we are there. Feel free to join in on the drive by being at Starbucks, exit 13 by 7:45am.

Still have no idea where this is starting.

Avenue at Forsyth has no meaning for me. Sorry. How about address or main road/highway, etc.

This is for those coming North on 400. The Sbux is on the East side of 400 at exit 13. There is one at The Avenue (that is NOT the one) it is across the street directly on 141.

Suggestion: turn left off of 141 at Normans Landing restaurant (traffic light at the entrance to The Avenue), then turn right thru the lot to get to Starbucks.

Basically: north to Dawsonville, west to Ellijay, then northeast and then east to Suches, and back to the winery in Dahlonega. Some roads were familiar and some unfamiliar, but all were interesting and traffic was blissfully light. The air was clear and, thanks to the largely leafless trees, the mountains were quite plainly visible. Of course, that was mainly to the benefit of the passengers, since the drivers had to watch the road and the car in front!

We had quite a few cars at the Starbucks in Cumming, but some of these did not go on the drive; they were there for coffee and conversation, what usually transpires at Starbucks. Will Campbell showed up with a 612, the first one that I can recall going on one of our drives.

Tried to but medications, drugs and still to soon from my accident to have the energy to do it. Advice to all: Never have a 3200 lb car drive over your head at speed!! It causes all sorts of bad issues!

We pulled out a little late at 8:20. We turned at the first light on GA-400 and took the pleasant drive up GA-9 to downtown Dawsonville, then west and northwest on GA-53, 183 and 136 and Yukon Road, to get to Ellijay. Up GA-515 for a very short spell, then east on GA-52 to our first pit stop, at Stanley's Chevron on 52 at Roy Road.

Fortunately we were early, since this was an extended stop because only one restroom was working. (Still better than porta-potties, I suppose.) A few cars left us after this stop, including the supercharged orange Elise that I had been following. I took a long look at the newest Porsche in the group, Allan's RS 4.0.

Hey, Brian, your health is more important than anything. There'll be more mountain drives in your future, hopefully under sunnier weather!
